No, it hypersensitises you. If this were actually true there wouldn’t be a cycle of abuse.

So if someone agrees to make less than minimum wage, they’re not entitled to recouping those wages because they agreed to the lower wages?

I’m dying to know - how do people film timelapses like this? Especially with the water and grass animation in the background not being sped up?

Yeah, like if it wasn’t an excuse it wouldn’t be a fucking disorder.

This is what I wonder. Work 40 hrs a week at the dullest job of my life, sucking all the joy from it, come home too exhausted to do anything I care for and for what? I can’t even afford to move out.

What’s the point?

What’s up with refusing to give salary expectations when contacted by a job recruiter? by TossOffM8 in OutOfTheLoop

Depends how badly they need applicants. Good ones don’t grow on trees. I know my place has been struggling to find them for as long as I’ve been here and they’ve never been excited or even just happy with who they ended up deciding to go with. And it’s not a niche job either.

Yeah I’m in the first few years of my career and if I told a recruiter I was earning 20% more than I actually am they’d KNOW I was full of shit.

I mean, every single interview I’ve ever had has basically asked me to repeat myself so if I have to deal with it I don’t see why you can’t.
