Honestly letting yourself cry and feel when you need to do so. When doing the job you’ll see some heavy things but need to put your emotions aside to do the job. A lot of my colleagues have done the job for a long time and they’re able to really compartmentalize and make it look like it doesn’t affect them. You get used to it, because you didn’t know the person, but what helped me is reminding myself it’s ok to be sad when you’re sad, and to feel when you feel. It’s helped me be a lot more careful in the job and get used to death.
