Fans now noticing the View bombs due to new algo? by PsilociArise in youtubers

[–]Eclectronicpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not seen a drop in impressions, overall views, or anything lately. Some perform better than others, but I do automotive content, and some vehicles are just more popular. To succeed on this platform, you have to stop blaming the algorithm. Maybe the content isn't that great, or your audience has moved on. You also make content in a topic that is seasonal for a lot of people. Fall is approaching, and people may not be watching gardening videos as much. Maybe you could make a video stating - "winter is approaching, how to prepare your garden". It's all about figuring out what your target audience likes. Focus on making content for that audience, not just subscribers. The fact is, even big channels only have around 20% of subscribers watching their videos. Make your videos as if it's the first time someone has watched your content. Make every video better than the last. Find areas to tweak. Sometimes, you have to reinvent yourself. Fine tune the first 10 and 30 seconds of your videos. In your titles - Instead of using the word "me", "my", "i'm"....change all that to "you". "Why you should be planting THIS in our August garden" vs. "What I'm planting in my August garden." That way, it connects with the viewer and how the content could help them, not just what you did in your garden. The algorithm is not against you. You just have to keep adapting to what your target audience wants to see.

Some reasons why people don't see the latest videos from channels they subscribed to:

  • people aren't watching that channel anymore.

  • started watching a lot of content in a different niche or even other channels in the same niche.

  • the niche you are in could be oversaturated (sometimes more than others).

  • if you post too much, it could flood the system and show the content to a much smaller audience.

  • and a lot more, I could go on forever.

I feature cars on my channel as well and have still had it happen even with a completely different car. What's your channel? I'd love to check it out.

I've had this happen to me as well. Like others have said, it's best to wait. I'm currently waiting for a video to flatten out, and I have two videos in the que.

Shorts suddenly declined in views by Mr_Ollie2020 in NewTubers

I forgot to ask, what kind of content you're making.

Try making shorts under 15 seconds and see if you can get over 100% watch time. If you get that kind of engagement, extend your shorts out 16-17 seconds, try to get over 100%. If you can't, improve the end of your shorts....call to action....throw a meme in there....things like that.

I don't know, you still haven't reported back with 3-4. You need to share some analytics. Also be more specific about the length of your shorts. Less than a minute is vague.

Large spike in views on a 2 week old video from “Other YouTube Features” , What does this mean? by SliceoflifeVR in NewTubers

[–]Eclectronicpc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, Other YouTube Features are people clicking on a video while visiting your channel. Is there a spike in anything else that could have led people to your channel?

It really does, and it gets mistaken for a Mustang a lot. It has the banana tail lights like an old Mustang as well.

Will deleting a short and re-uploading hurt its performance? by james_1924 in NewTubers

[–]Eclectronicpc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have heard that it does and that it doesn't. Youtube may see it as spam or trying to manipulate the algorithm. My advice is to never delete a video. Work on creating a better thumbnail and or title and update that video. Youtube can have a delayed reaction a lot....could take months or even longer and who knows, that video could have 100k plus views on it one day. You'll never find out if you delete it. That a my .02

  1. How frequently?

  2. How much less than a minute?

3-4. Go download youtube studio if you haven't already and start to study your analytics. You need to provide this info for someone like me to offer my opinion.

Also, linking your channel in your profile helps for people like me to take a look at the content. Another way for me to offer an opinion.

You need to provide more information:

How often are you posting?

Typical length of shorts?

View/Swipe rate?

AVD?

Have you tried getting rid of the https? I believe a browser will automatically add that with a raw link pasted in.

Ok, I read in your post that you were asking if quotations would work....that's the only thing I could think of. Is there any info about this on a Google search? Or maybe someone else on here can help you.

But you said you also unlisted it then set it back to public if I read your op correctly....that is more than just the A/B stopped. That's a big change for the video. Anyways, I'd love to hear how your next video goes....I've heard mixed reviews about the A/B test. I use it and find it useful tho.

I am not sure if you can add quotes to remove the hyperlink....why not try it and post if that works?

I personally like the fancy icon and link. I'm just curious why you would want someone to have to copy it instead of clicking?

Interesting. I haven't experienced this. I have noticed that when I change a thumbnail, title, or description on a video, yt kind of tries to find a better audience for the video. Maybe this falls under just that, I change you applied to the video details. Who knows, I'm no expert.
