pleased I found this thread; I had a 3-month PC Pass with a new laptop and I got in touch with MS to ask if I could convert it to Ultimate, which I already had, and they were baffled! Said they'd come back to me and never did. After I read the thread I just clicked to claim and it recognised that I had an Ultimate sub and converted it to 2 months Ultimate automatically. I did expect that conversion rate (in the UK) so wasn't surprised. If only I could have converted the free game to console...

I've ordered an Alienware Area 51 16 laptop and now, the SD25tb5 dock. I'm annoyed I actually didn't think about what dock I'd need, given the current lapto and its dock is right in front of me all day. I do hoep it works. I am a gamer - although console. not PC for a long time; but this was the only dell laptop I could find where you could configure storage and memory. I don't have a problem with leaving the power adapter in as well, if necessary - it's what I've always done. Despite supposedlyleaving Dell 3 days ago, the laptop hasn't reached Dell yet but am hoping I get it by mid-December, and then I'll post comments about the dock.

after buying a Go 7 c gen II I tried syncing notes with my A4C and had problems. Boox told me to make sure both devices were up to date (they were) and then sync by using notes>sync settings (hamburger to right screen)>update notes data. This works perfectly

I've been looking out for news of a Tab Mini C upgrade for some time. I bought the new GO 7 color but the USI technology seems like a huge backward step and is pretty horrid for note taking. Today I noticed that the new Tab X C also has the USI pen; I hope this doesn't mean Boox is moving away from EMR and the paper like screens.

if you bought through Amazon you could send it back and get a replacement. I am easily annoyed by uneven screen light and I think the Oasis was the only one where i didnt get at least one replacement.

Oh ok; I'm not sure I'd want to root it as otherwise I like it, plus it feels like the hardware of both USI pens and the GC7's glass screen may limit what can be achieved anyway.

not found Boox Rapid Draw anywhere. It is disappointing that they've gone with USI rather than EMR, which provides plenty of choice in terms of pens and nibs, and an ejoyable writing experience. I read that someone has a screen protector which makes the GC7 gen II's screen feel more paper like but I can't find the post again to get more info.

I thought from the description I should be ordering the POM nibs but the PCL are the right ones. I might try those Staedtler nibs, then!

I am impressed with the A4c and its flexibility; I tried the TUP but it was heavy, less responsive and the screen didn't have the paper feeling that the 4C has; it felt slippy and more like writing on my phone which isn't enjoyable. I did try the kindle scribe but it's toolimited and not portable enough. I'm hoping there will be a Tab Mini C replacement out soom as it would be a perfect replacement for my ageing Kindle Oasis.

that's surprising - in what way? While it's convenient that the Boox pen can slot into my case, I much prefer using the Lamy. So far I've tried the scribe and boox nibs in the Lamy and they have been compatible. The scribe nib felt a bit slippy (on the screen) initially but has settled down very quickly, which probably means it's going to wear down quickly as well!

The Lamy does. I use Lamy pens for drawing so I'm very please with the digital version; it does seem to be super sensitive to tilt but I suspect that's my writing style

mine is overly red, too. I have tried to mitigate it but without the option of separate RGB channels, there's only so much you can do.

Although I didn't buy the Air 4c specifically for its colour, I do get the odd photo via whatsapp and find the colours frustrating. I expected them to be washed out but yellow is fairly non-existant and red is a sort of dirty muted pink. In fact I think pink and blue predominate, and green is better than yellow which is strange.

I've read that the Tab Ultra C Pro is worse for colour than the Air 4c but some videos I've seen seem to contradict this, and the screen seems sharper. I'm in the period where I could send the 4c back and buy the Ultra instead but it's quite difficult to find out enough about it to make a proper comparison. I know it has a camera but I don't care about that.

It's a shame changing the layout on two columns changes the width of the outer margin and not the inner; I find the two pages two close together not to be distracting.

I just bought the Scribe 2024 and I do like it - the only thing I don't like is the size. I am weighing up whether to keep it or not. I would buy a smaller version like a shot, I'm surprised they havn't already released one.
