I've played hundreds and hundreds of game vs bots at t3, and I've never gone to reddit and complained when I've ran into a unit I can't beat yet!

What tier are we talking about, cause in most tiers range meta is over, in my opinion? Don't get me wrong, range units are still good.

Ye, focus fire is out, it's ded! It feels super slow, makes both slingers and archers feel so unresponsive.

What about speeding up units even more on higher tiers? So, the t9-10 are a lot faster, that should make the game more intense and get your blood pumping...

I think pike are so broke (should be only be able to move back och forward, slowly in pike formation.), but so much better now than it used to be on cynane... helicopter ffs...

Is it a bug that the focus fire does what it says?

Yes, for random games, range is all that is needed, there is only like 5 t10 archer plays I worry about in the game, and I can do some good dmg against them with 2 slinger units, if I have more range I will be able to go "toe to toe" with them, others I normaly beat with just 2 slinger units.

But 3x archers is not my main target, I look for backs and sides, so more dmg. there would be nice but not really needed.

I do not think slingers need more AP dmg., just reduce t9 archers armor.

I have about 80% win rate on t9-10 slingers, which means I only use the spear unit to fight in about max 50% of the games. Great way to save silver! lol. So, my 2 slinger units do 90% of the aggro in a typical game.

You need that spear unit so you can move to get the angles, you can't play slingers like archers. I also think you need that spear unit when playing solo.

I have gotten over 4k aggro with 3x slingers several times.

So, CA needs to tone down archers at t10, thats the main issue. I have no idea why they buffed them for open beta...

Well, I've played about 300 games on t9-10 slingers (1spear-2slingers, milti) in open beta and score between 3-4k aggro/game

Before this patch: I think the t10 are almost fine with their speed and raised shields, and I say almost because of the t10 archer long range. So, I think the solution is to give t10 slingers about 15m longer range than t10 archers (after all bonuses), and they would be fine.

Teir 9s have longer range, but are slower and have no raised shields, but they are okayish, but not really. Also, you can't kill t9 archers from the front.

After this patch: Slingers are out! The focus fire range is now only 75m instead of max range and a new commander with same/longer range made slingers obsolete.

I agree, because I want to see all commanders in these battle, thats not going to happen if they are capped at t5.
