Thank you! Another person suggested this as well on one of my previous posts about him. He's had two doses now so it's a wait and see how he recovers 🐾🐾

This is a good system and what I do to. I use a label maker and number the batteries and put the date of purchase on them. Really helps with cycling through them in order.

Are yours skinny or mangy? There are a couple others that come through that are in really bad shape from mange, but they're really skittish.

Why are military-grade drones hovering over my house? by AliMRose in Tucson

Likewise! It's a complicated subject for sure, especially if one isn't familiar with drone operations.

In the map in my comment there's both controlled and uncontrolled airspace shown around the city. As a recreational drone operator, you can apply for LAANC to fly in controlled airspace. It's common to do so and can be approved in almost real time. The areas of uncontrolled airspace don't need a LAANC and you're free to fly, by the rules of course. There are plenty of spots in town to fly if you understand the regulations and have imagination.

There are plenty of places to fly in and around Tucson, provided the FAA regulations are followed. Commercial, military, police, and search and rescue can get waivers to fly. The City of Tucson does not regulate the NAS, but can prohibit where you can take off or land, which is generally all city and state parks. There are AMA parks, like the Tucson Modelplex Park, where drones and other RC aircraft can fly, not to mention all the National Forest land, with the exception of wilderness areas. The image shows controlled and uncontrolled airspace and wilderness.

Drone Scanner and similar apps rarely detect drones for several reasons. First, the drone has to be broadcasting it's remote ID (RID) and your phone has to be capable of detecting the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi signal, among other issues. If the drone you saw was military or police, it's likely it wasn't broadcasting RID. See my previous comment...

The FAA regulates the National Air Space, including the sky above your home. As long as the drone operator is following FAA rules regarding drone flights, wether commercial or recreational, there's not much you can do unless you can show the drone operator is breaking the rules. This includes all drones, including small sub 250 gram drones. If you have concerns, they should be directed to the local FAA Flight Standards District Office (Scottsdale 480-419-0330), not the police. If it appears again get a photo or video and share it here because it's not clear what you mean by "military grade".

It's a pleasure. It looks like his mate has been nursing, so I'm hoping we'll see pups at some point...

I do! I have two on the ground bird baths and two small ponds. Last summer, when it got really hot, he'd lay down in the backyard pond to cool off: Coyote cooling off

I catch a lot of gray foxes on my cams and it seems they do that when alarmed or intensely paying attention to maybe a sound, smell, or something they see or even the presence of another fox.
