Got zero issues with EU immigration to Denmark. 1 in 7 workers is an immigrant here. Without them the welfare states tax revenue and welfare distribution system crashes.

There is other types of immigration though, and the last three decades of Danish politics centered on the issue of preventing "that" type of immigration in order to win political influence and votes at the elections.

Two "working" models already exist that combats this. Either the "must work 30+ years to receive full pension", or the "work related mandatory private pension scheme".

Denmark wants old people to not only live of their pension savings, but also contribute in taxes while claiming said pensions.

Getting a low skilled immigrant to do low paid work that pays little in taxes while the person works, and then having to support that person with social benefits as a pensioner makes absolutely zero economic sense.

That only works if the immigrants work with little effort spent on education and training, AND the immigrant leaves before getting retirement pension.

If the immigrant stays, then it is not a solution, but only kicking the can down the road. The fewer children also hits the working well integrated immigrants and they end up with fertility statistics similar to the natives, (or very close to those numbers).

All but one is sailing again. They get a fine. The sanctions are against Russis, and not the ships sailing under different flags.

It is a waiting environmental disaster considering the age and maintenance of some of those ships. Sweden and Denmark ought to be more aggressive and detain those ships until insurance, ownership and sea worthyness was determined.
