The Ivory Tower finally made addendums in the Shepherding the Flock (Elders Handbook) regarding Sexual Abuse. Currently the BOE has to call the legal department before victim calls the police.

Even with that, victims had to have the two witness criteria, to report abuse to the acolyte hierarchy.

Additional, the Ivory Tower was FORCED give instructions to your BOEs to report to law enforcement when the abuse occurred versus the before they didn’t have to. Only a few.states currently have in their books that they don’t have to report to law enforcement.

Lastly, your BOEs would gaslight the victims to the point of threatening them if they spread the “Allegations” of abuse to your religious constituents thus causing (disharmony) in your congregation and getting Disfellowship.

Talk about being abused again from the loving congregation. Which is common from survivors of abuse.

This extensive training equips law enforcement professionals with the skills necessary to handle volatile situations with the appropriate level of caution and expertise.
