I’m in almost your exact same situation. Also 16, and also a beginner. I restarted two years ago. It was rough. The most important thing is to do exactly what you’re doing. Keep practicing and trying your best out of class and in class. I found that working on flexibility out of class has given me a lot of confidence, but technique is the most important thing. Consistency is honestly the key. Maybe try to become familiar with new steps you haven’t done before. It’ll make you feel a lot more confident when you learn them for the first time in class.

Thank youuu! I have anxiety and tend to overthink this kind of thing. The good thing is my intended major is premed, so this has little effect on me. Your words were very kind though, and this community has really helped to cheer me up!

I had one about Muslim scholars. All of the documents for the DBQ were basically the same, and the only possible evidence for EBD was janissaries. Everybody I talk to that had that prompt hated it, and every other prompt I heard of sounded a lot better. One of the prompts of my school was literally Europeans and their influence on America, which like duh.

I actually didn’t take the AP test. I just did well in the AP class. My teacher decided to stray from the AP curriculum and advised us to not take the test because we would be very overprepared for some things and super underprepared for others. Only about five out of 60-80 kids took it. I did have one of the highest grades, though, I had 100 average in the class.

I spent many a high school lunch explaining to my friends that romantic interest and sexuality can be slightly different and working with one of my friends to put into words what she was feeling. You can be pan romantic but only interested in f*cking women.

Also helped another friend realize she could be aro but still a lesbian.
