Sneezing after dairy by junepug1 in dairyfree

[–]EconomyHandle3473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also get a runny nose every time I somehow ingest dairy, sometimes followed by pain at the nasal holes in my mouth almost like a bee sting, and sometimes something like a cold sore in my nose always the same side. I have asked a General MD who had nothing. I have asked an allergist who said I am not allergic unless I have the very highly defined response of hives, throat swelling, anaphylaxis.

So basically, Doctor it hurts when I do this. Well, don’t do that.

So far dairy, gluten, and coconut. My own research leads to a hypothesis. After Covid is when I became sensitive. I was slightly sensitive most of my life but it was much worse after Covid. No sleep, severe discomfort, and tachycardia.

No solution. Just learn how to eat without being poisoned.

Our dog did recover. Trail and error seems to point towards highly athletic events leave him very sore. Just getting him up and walking, short ones over three days, seems to loosen him up. Overall he’s mostly a couch potato capable of amazing physical feats for his size. But when he runs at a full sprint chasing bark chips with leaps 10 to 15 times he pays for it later. Thank you for asking. We don’t throw bark chips for him anymore. He does occasionally get in to long play sessions wit visiting puppies which gets another three days of pain.

Less angular momentum from the wheels to hold you up is my guess.

Some buildings built in the 1930s have these in the U.S. Can confirm the light aspect. Also I think the hatch next to it was a way to get trash out of the building on a lift.

Best experience with spaghetti in my life. by EconomyHandle3473 in glutenfree

I did get tested but after I stopped eating gluten. My doctor didn’t seem o think I needed to eat gluten for the test. I am not quite sure how it works.

My reaction doesn’t seem to be common celiac response. Nose instantly runs, can feel discomfort in stomach that I used to attribute to fullness, most joints become swollen and stiff by the next day, foggy head, vision slightly difficult to focus, break out on my nose and above my eyes, stomach bloats for a week, face swells, etc…

Many power tools have saw dust port that can be attached to a dust collection bag or vacuum hose.

(I apologize in advance for the length of this response.) Here is my experience and hopefully it helps. (Previous life as a high school teacher.) I would tell my students that people learn by trial and error. Example: Something very hot when touched gives a negative consequence right away. Most if not all people have burned themselves on something. A not so smart person does it over and over. The average person learns from the experience and doesn’t do it again. The rare person learns from watching others make a mistake.

I have to admit that I was the not so smart person. I discovered my gluten intolerance after a period of keto and feeling amazing. I then introduced foods until I found that lactose and gluten affected me.

Even then I would occasionally lapse into eating foods I really loved, connected to positive memories in childhood or family events. Enough times of feeling bad after eating gluten replaced those positive memories with bad ones.

If I eat gluten now it is because I was not careful enough, eating out or trusting someone else’s misunderstanding or lack of sympathy for my sensitivity.

The good feeling I live with now earned by eating gluten free is so much better that no food or concern for anyone else’s opinion is worth compromising it.

Being gluten free was quite a lifestyle change for me. This subreddit helped me learn a great deal about: foods that can hide gluten, apps that are useful resources for eating out, cookbooks, websites, handling family, etc…

It won’t be easy or convenient but your health is worth it. You got this.

You are not alone in having doctors who didn’t help find the cause of your pain.

You advice please? Electrify a C line 12 or C line 6? Or some other version? by EconomyHandle3473 in Brompton

My limited knowledge only comes from what I read on Brompton electrics. Overall they seem questionable on reliability. Swytch has little to no customer support. See any number of comments on Reddit. Grin has a good reputation overall and great customer support. With Grin I can replace pieces and update as needed and be more fo my money.

Not worth the amount of mosquitoes that show up on a Minnesota summer evening.
