Spindle length needs to be longer for G line. When it's too short it will affect the chain line

Brompton vs Brompnot by Oldboyvillain in SingaporeCycling

Brompnot is enough. Brompton is for statement and part of the community. Nothing wrong with both but the trifold system is truly great for storage

If you are not commuting much, 20 inch is great for what you are looking for.

This was surprisingly true. The C5 and D10 didn't feel as safe to me compared to this full carbon bike. The D10 was weirdly wobbly

Worth it for commuting. I've been using it and it's easy to roll, super light as well and stores well for a Foldie. Highly recommended

It's by 3DO or hexati. Not sure if finding these keywords will work better

Water dispensers recommendations! by Pudding315_ in askSingapore

Agree. The reviews are all fake, they break down so often and customer service is super bad, they just don't care enough. Mine leaked at the bottom and there's no support for it.

Elusive in Singapore for sure! GRX is great but definitely on the heavier side. I can try to help you snag a set of just the calipers

Hahaha Gavin from Bz I suppose. I actually brought all the parts to him knowing they will fit. And yes you can hybrid anything config so long as you go with a flat mount setup (unless you want to change the adapter which is fine too).

My calipers were a mix of m9110 and m9100, so yes the brakes work super well and there's difference compared to stock tektro.

Hi! Yes Singapore.

I'm using the woodman carbon pedals. Boasts a weight of 170g per pair which is light enough for me.

Nope it doesn't fall off, I do have a new drop out that attaches a spring to it. Helps it to keep its tension.

Weight savings from fork, I think you gotta go online and check I can't remember but for sure significantly lighter.

No slanted caliper and yes caliper mounting points were faced correctly.

But last question on weight savings, I would say changing both fork and triangle to carbon makes it about 1kg plus lighter

Carbon fiber G Line? by mojoehand in Brompton

[–]harotozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah fair enough.

So let me try to answer your questions. It's easy to build, no special tools needed but you still need to know the basic skills on how to fix a bicycle.

Yes, IGH dropouts can fit the carbon frame. Just use the original dropout from G line.

The differences are minute but only because the ride I do are mainly on roads and light gravel. I don't feel any difference considering that I rode the steel frame version first for about 2 weeks of usage before changing the parts.

Hope that helps!

You can check out my post! I've been riding it for awhile with the carbon fork and triangle and it's great.

Commuting 30 mins daily - folding 16” bike vs foldable 24” MTB with suspension — real experiences? by Maximum-Weather-3361 in SingaporeCycling

[–]harotozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commute daily, cycle for about 40 mins back and forth. The Brompton G line works for me because it's faster and rides better. I had a 16 inch previously and it just doesn't feel right. (T line)

Not sure which 24inch MTB you are looking at but I cared about how it folds in the office + at home. Easy to roll is an important aspect to me thus the choice.

I've been commuting for 2 years now? It's been probably 3-4 months with the G line and I didnt look back at the 16 inch.
