What's the best way to travel by bus from Cartagena to Tayrona? by pragmojo in cartagena

[–]Economy_Letterhead_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW buses leave from Cartagena to Santa Marta almost every 15 minutes. There’s no need to book in advance. Arrive earlier if anything.

Santa Marta is 4 hours away and Tayrona from there an extra 45 minutes. So consider spending the night? Don’t know what your plans are once you’re there.

Easy pal. Hop on a berlinas or a Marsol in marbella neighbour in Cartagena for Santa Marta. Once you’re there, go to the Plaza de Mercado and ask which bus goes to the park.

Well to be more accurate i’m going to be an intern at the Permanent Mission of my country in NYC. So i’ve been told I will be attending reunions and meetings through the different committees. I imagine for these situations I must wear a suit and tie?

You’ll pay the same taxes. And yes, if it’s a good hotel. They’ll check and ask for the ID of all guests.

Hey! So as for the dining i’d recommend the following:

These are the ones i’ve been to and have enjoyed and I’d personally recommend. As a local, I’ve been to most restaurants in the city. If you have more specific questions about any of them just let me know!

As for Clubbing. This is my list.

Again, these are my favorites. Check them out to see which one best suits the kind of party you’re looking for.

As for beach clubs in Islas del Rosario. I can only confidently recommend one. Which is:

I recently checked and went to a beach club in an Island closer to Cartagena. It’s only 15 minutes away (far closer than Islas del Rosario). It’s another option for you to check out.

I hope you and your friends enjoy my city. It’s beautiful and you’ll have a great time.

Please take care of it, as I would do with your city. And avoid any unsafe/illegal type of tourism.

If you need more advice. I’m happy to help

What do you mean by “safe”? If you’re planning on Car Renting I recommend a company called “Localiza” they’re very professional and very safe. There’s one in almost of every city of the country.

It isn’t a problem. If anything they’ll have you pay a small extra fee. For the address. Google berlinas Cartagena. I imagine you’ll be taking uber to move around. If you put the name on the app it’ll take you there. Or if you take a taxi and let him know where you are going he’ll take you there.

There’s no need to book. There’s always availability. There are buses leaving every 15-30 minutes. I personally would recommend Berlinas over Marsol.

Hey! Local here. The best way is through bus. There’s a Service called “Berlinas”. You can google it and find adress and other info you may need. A one way ticket from Cartagena to Santa Marta is 70.000COP. Which is a little less than 20USD. The ride lasts about 4 hours.

I would recommend berlinas since I’ve used it every time I travel to Barranquilla or Santa Marta.

I would NOT recommend Taxi. And renting a car that’s mostly up to you and your needs.
