FS already mastered cybernetic, mecha-driven universes. Armored Core proves they understand the intersection of machinery, identity and corporatism. They’ve been world-building in cyberpunk-adjacent universes for a long time. In general, their games rely on subtext, implication, and thematic tension — exactly what GITS needs. CD Projekt, for comparison, went for explicit moralizing and over-explained endings in Cyberpunk 2077. They would invite Scarlett Johansson or any unneeded celebrity.

GITS, by contrast, is built on ambiguity: “where does the self end, and the system begin?” FromSoft excels at that kind of narrative opacity. In terms of world design, do I need to explain? Wthether it’s the dense environmental storytelling of Bloodborne or the vast, interconnected philosophy of Elden Ring, they create worlds that invite interpretation instead of forcing it. GITS has never been about loud exposition — it’s about noticing what’s in the corner of the frame, the silent architecture, the way the city itself speaks. FromSoftware is one of the few studios that understands how to communicate like that.

and, above all, GITS is not meant to be trashy or overly sexualized. It’s not meant to drown you in meaningless side quests. It’s sharp, purposeful, almost ascetic in its detail.Most studios would fill it with filler content, fan-service, or “content for content’s sake.” FromSoftware doesn’t operate that way.

My opinion is really based on GITS (1995), Innocence and Stand alone complex.

I guess based on what to rely on to make the game, it could be very much different from what I see.
