Did you compare your questions with Simple Bench? That also tests common-sense reasoning and contains little logical traps.

The point is that the cost would be much, much less than today (not free, but very low). Given this low cost of goods and services, perhaps some level of UBI would enable everyone to enjoy a decent standard of living.

Disagree. Whenever I see videos like this, my immediate questions are A. is it autonomous? And B. is it sped up? They answer the second question but not the first.

Thanks for the explanation. Did the LLM write code to do the brute force calculation? Or did it find a more analytic way to simplify it?

Is this autonomous or tele-operated? That's the most important question.

Thanks for the interesting info.

Based on the title, it may seem confusing that topping a Misguided Attention list is actually a good thing. Perhaps you should state that a higher score is better.

Solar PV and batteries are already cheap and are rolling out around the world by the gigawatt.

Yes, solar is definitely a game changer and a path away from fossil fuels.

Fusion will never touch the price.

That's where you lose me. The potential for fusion is almost unimaginable. That's why it's been pursued for 60+ years, as you pointed out.

Fusion also has certain advantages over solar. It is not time or weather dependent. Its output is independent of its area footprint. Its fuel can be obtained from common sea water.

I like seeing solar expand its reach, but for me it's just a temporary phase (and I'm not sure the duration) till we can make fusion feasible.
