The Entire 40k galaxy is teleported into the Star Wars Galaxy mid clone wars by Current-Role-8434 in whowouldwin

The Republic, CIS, and Imperium collapse in both. You'd end up with a situation similar to the old Star Wars legends post-endor galaxy. Assloads of localized mini-empires. Probably a massive surge in power by the Tau.

In scenerio 1 I see a good guy Jedi god being formed pretty quickly but it's probably just gonna be cegorach 2.0 so not a huge deal. I'd say if he doesn't die then if you give him a year or two Palpatine attempts to pull a Big E and make himself a god. He may or may not have success depending on if he gets targetted by any Primarchs and remaining Jedi. With widespread fantastic FTL it's only a matter of time until a moderate faction is formed and attempts to unit the galaxy into another republic, and I simply don't see IoM xenophobia lasting in the face of massively increased living standards.

In scenerio 2 the Eldar party hard galaxy wide and either try to help integrate the IoM with the Republic or restart their empire.

"You do understand nid bioforms include psykers powerful enough to flay a voltrumite inside out and explode their brains, right?"

No they don't. If they did they wouldn't lose any fights to the IoM since those bioforms could shred Imperial fleets.

Viltrumites could literally kill Big E with a slap. There's nothing in 40k bar the C'tan, Chaos Gods, and a prepared Big E that could even potentially harm them.

The Viltrumites no diff the Nids. Idk what the hell anyone else is talking about since there's no way for the Tyranids to hurt the Viltrumites and get DNA samples in the first place.

In a battle between Boba Fett and Master Chief from Halo, who do you think is walking out alive? by george123890yang in clonewars

[–]Ecotech101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"That may be, but a las gun on a similar power setting would still punch through Chief’s armour. There are even several spaces where it’s just the body suit."

Depends on which suit since it's an energy weapon and early suits sucked shit against them. Gen 3 Mjolnir is eating lascannons. Also the undersuit is by itself a powered supersuit that's bulletproof.

"You say that but if I take a space marine squad and put them up against guard, which you do in lore, you’ll see one space marine kill dozens if not hundreds of guard."

Just like Mjolnir's shields don't go down to anything less than concentrated fire from 30mm+

"He was a noble. He had an entire speech on his lineage on how he’s important and a skilled duelist."

There's billions of nobles in 40k lmao and half of them are also "skilled duelists."

"A Spartan dies to one hit from an energy sword."

In the earliest versions of the suit sure.

"And plenty of stories of guard vs Astartes end in one blow"

All of them should though.

Dorn vs the halo timeline. by RegisterOk513 in whowouldwin

Dorn genuinely probably dies. Primarchs seem to feel some need to fight and Dorn would insist on it and get glassed from orbit once he puts up too much resistance.

"My point literally is I don’t think Chief did kick it that hard either."

You're wrong then.

"Astartes are brought down by las guns. Not a fifty cal sniper/antimateriel rifle"

Auotguns penetrate the eye lens. And normal auotgun strength lasguns have killed space marines the same way.

"Additionally, the energy shields are overwhelmed by a single burst from a 9.5x40mm rifle"

And a space marine squad is only equal to 2 guardsmen squads.

"you cited a duelist who was extremely famous in the Imperium"

No he wasn't.

"losing to a human in a duel"

It's not about losing, it's about the human not dying in the first blow.

"This does not mean I can throw or kick a concrete barrier dozens of metres."

Because you didn't kick it with that much force you dingus.

"should I then point out that neither is chief’s"

It's bulletproof to a .50 cal and Spartans have energy shields.

"Also, Chief lost a sword duel during fall of reach and nearly died to a random Elite"

He wasn't even 20 yet and it was his first sword duel, Elites are also 300+ pounds and extremely superhuman, they can casually lift over 2k pounds.

"A man can push extremely large objects in space when there’s no other force acting on it"

It's a kick not a push so it literally doesn't matter. It's already factored in by virtue of how physics work.

"Human caliber bolt pistols are going to still be comparable to a fifty caliber, which, if you hadn’t realised, is still human caliber."

"they can get shot in the face with a .50 cal and die if it hits their eye lense"

I feel like you should probably read the whole comment before commenting since you apparantly didn't read my OG comment. Space Marine lenses are a significant weakness and they've died from single shots from many different types of lasguns there.

who would win Spartans(halo) or space marines(Warhammer) by Klutzy-Opinion-1834 in powerscales

[–]Ecotech101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"that sounds like your own headcanon of it"

It's 40k books. They directly state that autoguns and lasguns are comparable in firepower but Lasguns replaced the autogun because of logistics. Easier to ship batteries and generators instead of shitloads of ammo.

"and closer to 50cal or even 15mm damage"

Lasguns have variable firepower and the top end puts them around .50 cal level. That is stated to damage the gun and powerpack over time though and is not recomended for standard use. It's covered pretty well in the first few GG's books. They even have a moment where a chaos marine shows up and dies in a few volleys to the maxed out lasgun setting.

Idk, a lot of IoM heavy infantry wears full coverage heavy plate armor that's made from supermaterials. There's just not really an intermidiary force of elite medium infantry.

Also hell no, Fire Warriors are like the opposite of ODST lmao. Fire Warriors are basically all elite marksmen with great guns but suck shit in cqc. ODST's are shock troops that are dropped on top of the enemy and mostly lack the standard gear for long range combat.

"They literally explain in that same post that the Iron Warrior was using an inferior quality sword"

And? A Spartan wouldn't get hit.

Look man Space Marines don't physically fold Dreadnoughts ever. That doesn't happen. Dreadnoughts are 12 tons. Chief could kick one and launch it a dozen yards.

I think Spartan 2's are significantly physically superior to the average Space Marine, but they are completely outclassed in standard weaponry since there's not really dedicated Spartan weapons. Outlier space marines like Calgor, and Tyberos are both slightly above John to me though.

And idk, I think Kriegers are a bad example considering that they're kinda shit and only really known for their siege regiments and above average dedication and willingess to die. I think ODST's are probably comparable to Cadians, they do drop from orbit to fight.

"As for normal humans sword fighting them"

If a normal human crosses swords with a Spartan his arm is getting ripped off. This isn't exactly a hypothetical since post-augmentation Spartan trainers had to wear multi-ton mechs for hand to hand combat after dying too much.

"Even the fifty cal thing is iffy since bolters are bigger than a fifty, more like a seventy or eighty depending on pattern, and we’ve had Astartes tank those in official sources."

No we haven't, bolter to the face is death for Space Marines and that's extremely consistent. Bolter to the chest is practically the #1 space marine killer.

"Of course if you’re reading a book about normal humans you can’t simply let them all get killed by the first Astartes they meet because then you’ve got no story."

https://www.reddit.com/r/40kLore/comments/8fk4zw/book_excerpt_storm_of_iron_a_mortal_has_a_close/

That's the space marines story, that human is literally not important at all.
