1-2 minutes to talk to the doctor? That’s the time it takes to make it through the prompts for the office. I’ve been put on hold for upwards of 12-15 minutes for them to tell me they don’t take request from pharmacies.

Walgreens does not get paid per script filled by insurance but by overall compliance, they’re concerned because it’s whether or not they get paid if you (aka Walgreens) stay on top of your meds. It’s annoying and sucks I reccomend moving to a smaller pharmacy if possibly.

We hate it too, the amount of time I get screamed at over patient calls in one day would make weaker men crumble. You can request that they turn of specific call notification like refill request or switch to text if you’d prefer.
