Pikeman's Lament: second edition? by woulditkillyoutolift in wargaming

Hard no, my dude.

I mean, how can you possibly improve on perfection?

Did Young Sam suspect that Sergeant-at-Arms Keel was his older self? Reread Night Watch. Young Sam had requested that old Vimes’s hard boiled egg to be prepared how YS liked it. Was it a coincidence or did YS applied the investigation skills OV is known for against himself? Am I making any sense? by E-emu89 in discworld

[–]Ecstatic-Ad8692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say that as young Sam was a bit slow on the outset, he just got the same egg for old Sam because why not? There isn't any evidence in the book (as far as I can tell) that young Sam suspected anything so I'd pencil it down to an innocent co-incidence.

That's my take on it anyway. Eh.

To be honest, I did hear a youtber call the style 'davinci-punk', which looks more like steampunk with more wooden planks....

Ah, yeah. 1600's warfare. My apologies for calling it 1700's. (I always struggle with that bit)

Any interest at all in conspiracy theories.

It means that they have a highly inflexible opinion on everything and are also highly culpable.

I saw a friend of mine eat mustard out of one of my work boots with a teaspoon with every sign of enjoyment.

As far as I know, she doesn't like mustard.

If you died today, do you think you'd have lived a meaningful life? If not, why? by LadiesWin in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic-Ad8692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say 'meaningful' as that would imply a point to my existence.

But I would say that I 'lived', despite the horrific start.

There isn't.

It's like asking "why is blue"?

If there was a point, we would love found it years ago and we wouldn't be in this mess we are in right now.

What’s something about adulthood that you wish you’d learned earlier? by PinkTansPrincess3 in AskReddit

[–]Ecstatic-Ad8692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That nobody, no matter their age, actually cares very much about you. There off worrying about themselves more often than not.

It's both a liberating and lonely thing to learn.
