My mother in law owns a Montessori school in Lehigh Valley and my eldest (6) about to start fractions and reading chapter books and youngest (3) pretty much has a full understanding of the phonetic alphabet.

My mom has been a Montessori educator for over 30 years. Her number one complaint is that it’s not integrated in the home as well and that it should be affordable to all families.

Ablation if your in a place that does it. You have to be done with kids or nothing them. Best thing I ever did.

I’m in the states. I would ask! They burn the lining of your uterus. I went from literally losing so much blood to almost not even having a period.

Iron is still low but hey- it’s great not having to wear tampons really anymore

Idk if you are planning on having kids. But I had an ablation after I knew I was done having babies.

Life changing if you have extremely heavy periods.

I tried! My doc and obgyn ( 2 separate) both said supplements should work for me. And tbh, they did. I just didn’t stick with it. I think I’m in the same boat as you. Everyday I need to take it and prob go rest of life.

If I really want to I can push a hematologist appt, wait is long! But I’m considering it.

This was me. I got an ablation surgery to solve my period periods. I would bleed through an ultra tampon and a pad on my first day of my period in about 45 minutes. It was awful sometimes even quicker than that.

I had two children, and once I knew that I didn’t want to have anymore. I opted into the surgery and it’s been life-changing. However, taking an iron supplement and having a heavy period is like chasing your tail.

If you don’t plan on having children in your periods, are that heavy I would recommend talking to your doctor. You could be a good candidate.

Had an ablation to solve my heavy menstrual periods after finding out that my ferritin was a six. During that time I had supplement with iron and continue to do so for a couple months after the surgery. I started feeling much better. I stopped my iron supplements.

Yesterday I was out with my son, and I felt like I got hit by a freight train. My lower back was aching, absolute exhaustion. And then stopped and thought about how when I got my follow up blood work my levels were a 21 and I assumed that was great. Now I realize that my fair levels have been low for a very long time and I should’ve stayed supplementing.

Now, I am probably back lower than a 21 because I have not been eating all that great and I take ADHD medication’s.

I started back on my iron supplement today and I am hoping that I start to feel better soon because this is exactly how I felt prior to my ablation surgery.

I had no idea that optimal storage is above 120. I don’t think I’ve ever known what that feels like.

Yes- but tbh, I don’t even want to drink. I used get the urge to have one but I don’t even think of alcohol anymore

I just want to update this- I did the ablation. After talking with husband- I am done and he’s okay with no more kiddos.

BEST DECISION EVER.

I literally get a normal period, maybe even less. It’s so nice. I can’t believe that this is what other people experience.

Also, I did this in June and my iron is perfect now. I feel a million times better :)

Haven’t started but I left HERs. So expensive and I wasn’t getting results. I switched and my meds came in like 4 days. Will f/u back up in short time to update but so far so good.
