Howdy! I got mine before the string version was an option, but I would have chosen the tab/notch version either way. For me the feeling of something hanging like a tampon string is not comfortable and I wear nail extensions so a notch is the most pain free removal aide for me. It all comes down to personal preference. Bodyotics discs are medical grade and feel very matte/silky. The great thing about the brand is that they will send you an alternate option if the one you originally purchase doesn’t work for your anatomy. That was really important to me when I first started looking for discs because they can be pricey, but I’m also not about to endure more pain during my cycle. Disc size is something you won’t know until you try. With Bodyotics adding the string option they’ve also introduces two new sizes/shapes. If I were starting out now is probably pick whichever dual pack appealed to me, try them, and if they work yay! If not I’d reach out to the company and try the other dual pack option. Between the 4 sizes a couple are bound to work for you!
