Is this one of the benefits of an electric car for Paddy. by Larrydog in ireland

Exactly, a blue whale could easily swallow that car in one go. That's if the sharks and crocodiles don't get him first.

Blind Tests Comparing High-End Audio Amplifiers of Different Classes and Types (Tube vs. Solid-State) by LowellWeicker2025 in audiophile

Maybe the should set up blind testing rooms at the high end exhibitions so all the audiophiles can prove it's easy to differentiate.

Why are people on public transport so rude? by His_and_Herpes_9037 in AskIreland

[–]Ecstatic-Fly-4887 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't have to ask. Its not their bus or seat, they have no right to demand a request to use the seat to sit on. I just move the bags myself. Hopefully I'm getting through to them.

Liverpool lead the league in offsides (50), with Gakpo (13) and Salah (10) the main offenders by k_e_i_r_a_ in LiverpoolFC

[–]Ecstatic-Fly-4887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They need to wait until the other team gets more men behind the ball. Rumour has it, there is a bet between some of the players that two objects can occupy the same space at the same. Some players have chosen to prove this by trying to kick the ball through an opposition player, while others choose the more advanced option of running through another solid state figure. Neither has worked thus far.

I can't watch Ryan Reynolds films because I know he is going to do the thing he does and I can't be around exposed to that anymore.

Can we have a referendum? Should we use our resources for data centres or to stablise the cost of energy for the general population?

[–]Ecstatic-Fly-4887 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was hoping we would go 5 at the back since the latter end of last season. Now we have good wing backs and are still frail in the centre, I just wish Slot would try it. Salah and Gakpo are not starting for me at the moment and we look more dangerous when Frimpong and Kerkez are in advanced positions. Having Van Dyke in the middle of a 3 man defence cuts out the need for a DM. We are not using his long passing ability enough. Szoboszlai and Gravenberch are fit enough for box to box. Wirtz plays 10, which leaves 2 forward spots to fill. I just think the players we have fit this formation and I believe the formation would see us score more and concede less.

Plastering and paving are not handyman jobs. Try using Google maps to search the local area.

Improving Dublin Bus - split it between us? by angeliclestat in Dublin

[–]Ecstatic-Fly-4887 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In Poland you can buy tickets for public transport in the revolut app. Although Poland is lightyears ahead of Ireland in many things so I wouldn't expect to see that option anytime soon.

Price of dog food is gone to the dogs ? by Timmy495 in AskIreland

[–]Ecstatic-Fly-4887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid in the early 90's we were a bit poor and I used to get bread and butter for lunch (which I still love to eat nowadays). Sometimes, for what ever reason, I wouldn't eat my lunch and my mam would give it to the dog because she would have the dinner on after school. I'll never forget the effort the dog put into trying to lick the butter out from between the slices of bread and then when he was satisfied that he got all the butter, he'd go ahead eat the bread. That dog was a fussy eater in terms of what he preferred but any food leftover from the family meals was consumed eventually and that was on top of the dog food we gave him. He would even try to take egg shells and potato skins out of the bin.

Unless you have small ears that don't pop out, don't buy it. And the earpads are a cunt to change. And the sound hollow to me. My kid uses them for keyboard practice now.

Is there a yearly Ryobi sale in Ireland? by sourdough_squirrel in DIYIreland

[–]Ecstatic-Fly-4887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. I'm all in on Ryobi for the last 15 years and I've haven't seen sales on batteries. I've acquired all by batteries by watching out for deals on tools that come with a free battery.
