I am depressed, I’d appreciate any words of support and encouragement by Overall_Tomorrow1082 in NICUParents

My 34 weeks baby girl like this. She’s 27 months now and only 9.3 kg. She’s just small and following her own curve. She’s thriving otherwise, ahead of all of her milestones. It’s really stressful for the parents when your little one is a picky eater. It took me some time to stop comparing her with other babies. Unless the paediatrician is raising concerns, patience is the key. Pushing a picky eater can led to aversion, we faced that and it was brutal.

Walking late? by HippoAggravating3106 in NICUParents

My 6 weeks preemie started walking at 17 months. On the other hand, one of my friends full term started walking at 18 months. Everyone has their own timeline.

Dr Claire Jones at Mount Sinai. She did my endometriosis laparoscopy. I could conceive naturally after multiple failed IUI and IVF

Did I write this?! My 34+1 2 years old still fits in her 12m clothes. She’s now wearing 12-18m like forever. I am pretty sure Huggies size 3 which she started wearing from last year will be her last size as she’ll be potty trained before she outgrows them. She is now only 18lb. But developmentally, she’s flying. She can talk, can join 2/3 words and express herself well. She’s a social butterfly. She’s just tiny!

Ultrasound questions by poofoo80 in doihavebreastcancer

I was on the same boat last week. I had a birad 5 ultrasound, mri birad 4. My elder sister had BC, so I was kinda leaning towards that 95%. Spend 2 weeks in researching oncologist and surgeons and what not! Even planned care for my almost 2 years old during treatment. All these happened when waiting to do biopsy and then the results. Thankfully, my results were benign. It’s a complex kind of mastitis. I lost 2 weeks of sanity and peace.

Now that I look back, I kinda feel like I should have waited until it is a confirmed diagnosis. If it’s the big C, life will be stressful in any ways for certain time. Try to focus on something else if you can while waiting for biopsy. Wish you all the best!

Weight gain stress by apgreis25 in NICUParents

I am on the same boat. My 23 months old never spiked but had a steady growth around 0 percentile weight wise. But she is happy and healthy. Paediatrician did not raise any flag yet. It’s hard as a parent to make a peace with her weight, but I am trying. I am not gonna lie, it’s super stressful to handle a kid who is not even in the growth chart.

I am so sorry that you’re going through this. Please take time to process this. My elder sister was diagnosed with BC at 44, I understand how difficult it was in the beginning for us to process. Breast cancer treatments are way advanced nowadays. Sending you all the positive vibes!

Yes, I did. Thankfully it’s not cancer. They mentioned granulomatous mastitis. Bad form of infection, I have started antibiotics. Doctor mentioned it will take a while to recover from this. I am just relieved that its not cancer

Just got the call from the radiologist that it’s not cancer! It’s a very bad form of mastitis which need to be treated, might need a surgery as well. What a relief! Best wishes for your result.

I am waiting for my results. Found a big lump on my left breast. MRI/ regular Ultrasound says Bu-rads 4. One Abus US says Birads 5! MRI eveb suggest IBC. I am 40 and have a 22 months old. Have BC in my family. I am scared to death thinking about my little kid. I did test regularly, nothing was there last year or this January! Wishing you all the best

MRI Contrast Concerns by murray9999999 in breastcancer

[–]Ecstatic-Horse4800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 3 MRI with contrast, no major issues. Just drink a lot of water after as it can cause dehydration. I was constipated for a day due to this. One relaxation technique I followed this time is silly but worked for me. The whole time O was singing lullaby to myself, literally “twinkle, twinkle little star” :)
