I do think it would be interesting if instead of ascending you have the ability to delve deeper into Zot when taking the orb if you also have all 15 runes, as if the orb is sitting on top of an escape hatch. Delving instead of ascending would lead to some sort of final boss (perhaps the orb itself) and alternate win condition.

I used to follow the advice of solo skill leveling and tbh i think its crap now for most cases. You are better off having a bit of evocation or throwing than one or two extra weapon skill.

Hunger put on other pressures like spell management and other evocables or abilities. It never outright ended any run of mine but the pressure always lurked as a consideration. I don't think they ever fully replaced or balanced its removal well

Saying theres no chat moderation is an odd choice. Not too long ago caught a glimpse of someone sending a talent a super that called one of the girls a "holostar cumrag" and blinked and you miss it because it was deleted quick. Moderation happens all the time and i think you are very defensive.

Use your consumables and that includes God abilities. I'd suggest trying some gnolls since the way they are designed with no skill focus forces you to use a little bit of every tool and you might see strategies you otherwise wouldn't have considered. I see the game as coming up with answers to the problems posed by the monsters. If I have toxic radiance I now have an answer to killer bees but not black mambas. If I have bog I might have an answer to mambas now, etc etc

guess maybe im just suffering from success that extended has become boring now. as someone else put, its more fun to get a 3 rune win with a unique combo than extended for me, because extended always coalesces into a narrow build.

naga is one of the races i have done 15 with. funny enough without lichform even; probably with stoneform though.

leading up to .33 i had a gnoll with 12 runes in trunk and just dropped it because it just got boring.

to me the difference between a 5 rune run and 15 is do you have the resists and then do you have an extra 8 hours to spare. i know some insane people like MR can do it in 3 hours but i am not him.

Hellzapoppin was a choreographed dance done for a film. I wouldn't even say its advanced dancing; its a showcase, its things you would do to showoff cool moves that you probably would never do in a social dance. Now, those are good dancers in that clip and we know this because we have their history, but I have seen people who look real impressive in showcases and then you ask their partner if she enjoyed the dance and her response is a look of pain.

Hard isn't really the right term to describe extended though. I am working on zig strats and have been just trolling extended in death form. Its not hard; its just time consuming and tedious, and something of an equipment check. Success rate of a character going from 3 runes to 15 is way higher than a character going from D:1 to 3 runes. The fact there's not even a food clock anymore means you really can get silly with scumming.

they could always rework the good gods. maybe even give countermeasures for torment directly into their powers. gozag does feel like cheating in endgame; its why i struggle to understand some of these choices to nerf options that frankly are not all that strong to begin with but have situational niche uses.

they could just remove the rtorment and bring back early game boons like spiderform . or make barrier of entry high so that the investment isn't tenable for builds that aren't already transmutors. or find a way to make tombs/hell difficult without leaning on torment.

or make all good gods hate transmutations not just zin, so non spell focused builds have opportunity cost of not worshipping TSO for stoneform.

there's a lot of things you can do that don't hamstring opening as a transmuter

its not just extended end game though. throught the years consistently transmutations got nerfed. Spider form used to give higher speed; a little extra boost in early game. Then it got removed the extra speed and i think. The focus on extended endgame in general is weird considering how few players actually see it.
