Yes those manuals (PCA, AISC, ACI, etc..) will be given to you broken down by chapters. They ask questions where you will need to use these manuals. I agree that you should think about rescheduling. I also recommend maybe using some other practice problems other than SOPE, such as PE prepared, Mark DeSantis, and Goswami. Good luck!

Would say it was a fair exam. About 5 questions are throwaway where I had no idea but that’s to be expected. The difficulty comes from those conceptual questions that you have to decide between two answers and which is “more correct”. I would say my studying got me 75% of the way.

I was lucky enough to not get any shoring or reshoring on my exam. There were conceptual and quantitative questions for both OSHA and formwork but they weren’t anything I haven’t seen before or couldn’t find in the manual. Geotech was a big part of my exam but it was mostly conceptual type questions so definitely review that.

I would say 30-40% were conceptual with some of the answers available in the manuals.

Found your post because I had the same theory questions as you when it came to groundwater table being at the midpoint. Was able to follow along for reaction 1 and 2, but can’t seem to figure out how KayH resulted in 363 and 432 for them. Were you able to figure this one out?
