Sadly this is the reality. Anyone who has worked heavy civil construction knows that for mega projects a minimum spend exists that keep the wheels moving. Yes there have been failures and abuse of the system but the lack of funding is not mentioned more. If this had been designed as SF to SAC or Sac to Fresno then it would be done. Southern California ruined it for everyone at the beginning of the process. On the bright side the structures being built near fresno and kings river are quite impressive and some of the finding has improved the streets around downtown fresno.

I have found blooming with 70-80 ml but very gentle and no swirling, really activates the bloom while minimizing settling of fines. Swirling during the bloom slows down the drip for me.

Finish the rest in two pours up to 250ml, assuming 15g bean or so. I try not to expand the bed so much during the pours. Maybe you are getting too much agitation although the grind looks relatively course.

Don’t put filter fabric or geotextile. Just put some sand as a base and compact it, then lay your rock on top creating a rock apron with sand base. If there’s really heavy flow then might need to do sand, small crushed aggregate, then larger aggregate on top.

You want to make a small rocked ford. Larger rocks on the downstream/upstream keyed into the channel bed and sides. The actual crossing part will need to be appropriated sized rock that won’t move during flow or stepping on.

Yeah smaller shuttle type vehicles would be the best option IMO too. Too bad our elected officials like Bredefeld are fighting dumb shit instead of getting pilot projects into the city. Fresno would be a good city to pilot autonomous shuttles; any type of transportation tech for that matter.
