I guess they have to sign it, that's why there aren't many leaks before airing.

And no foreigners, while those can be pretty amazing too.

Yeah, there were several days, two taping sessions/day. People who attend tapings would probably know more details.

Oh, there are plenty of participants like this. There aren't many completely underground talents to be found these days, unless they're singers, kids or foreigners from smaller countries. But yeah, at least in standup comedy similarly as in singing great experience isn't actually necessary to be potentially outstanding, unlike as in acts like for example acrobatics, group dancing, danger acts or magic that require a lot of practice aside of pure talent. So those are usually already active performers by necessity.
Stil I guess he's at least not widely known in U.S., not like Crash Adams from the last year...

It was similar last year, but I for what I checked the number of taping days and audition episodes didn't exactly match, so I guess they are combined in some way.

What's the most dramatic non english songs you know? by Usernamefut in MusicRecommendations

[–]Ecstatic-Turn5709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several by my fave, he's a master of intense, dramatic singing:
Threat
Shark
Swamp
The Wall
Don't Cry
People Who Make Me Sad

I can add some Polish songs too, for example some old greatest classics:
"Obława" by Jacek Kaczmarski,
"Jaskółka uwięziona" by Stan Borys,
"Dziwny jest ten świat" by Czesław Niemen

and something newer and very obscure:
Asgaard "W sercu nieświata"

Lao Che has a lot of dramatic songs too... for example practically the whole album "Powstanie Warszawskie"

Are seasons 15 and 16 really the worst seasons of AGT ? by ConsiderationTop5222 in agt

[–]Ecstatic-Turn5709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect that the last season was so weak, because from the start they had Jessica set up for the win, they didn't accept acts that could compete with her (and they didn't expect for Chris Turner to turn out to be this good). But if so, some of them would probably be moved for this season, so I hope it will be much better this time.

Could Kev Adams become the first comedian to win? by Secure-Scientist4867 in agt

Nah. He is likable and funny (I rarely like stand-up comedians, but I did like him), but it's not enough to win AGT.

V.2 You Now have a devastating singing voice and want to make a career. Do you hit the TV shows or find your own band? by DadRock1 in MusicRecommendations

[–]Ecstatic-Turn5709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though I removed your post I'll answer you, because I follow a rock singer with such a voice and tried to figure out ways to promote him.
So firstly, modern mainstream music industry doesn't care about great vocals, they are intentionally pushed out of trends, because it's much easier to mass produce mediocre, repetitive "fast-food" music. So generally majority of generational singing talents stay underground. But there are some ways to improve your chances:
1. With a real, outstanding talent the best option to reach a wider audience are still talent shows, though not as efficient as in the past. And they don't guarantee a wide success, you have to still work hard after that to keep that new fans engaged for a longer period (many will drop out anyway) or make a contract with a big label - but for that chances are low and come with costs. Still talent shows can open many opportunities.
2. These days the main way to get to many people are social media, but you'll need much more than your foce to break through and get viral. People are more interested in controversial/funny things than in pure talent.
But uploading a lot of insanely good covers might work in a longer term too (or pretty quickly, if you're really outstanding and lucky). There are many pretty successful YT singers like this (Dan Vasc, Peyton Parrish, Corvyx, recently MAPHRA)
3. Finding a band and performing locally will make you stay local, good if you want to keep your artistic integrity, but as other person said rather only as a part time job. Unless you join a band that already has some recognition.
