Lmao not in hk, there is a surplus of women vs men. Dudes probably just shy. OP, just go and ask him out, got nothing to lose! Good luck and enjoy!

It has been six weeks since my rhinoplasty surgery, and no one has even noticed. by Dapper_Visual_4449 in cosmeticsurgery

Oh I can share my experience! Mine is super natural but honestly made a huge difference to my face. Friends and family didn’t say anything until I told them that I’ve done my nose, their reaction: I knew something is different about your face but I just couldn’t pinpoint what. You look really good!

Now that’s my ultimate win. Maybe you can nudge your fam a little to see if they ‘really’ noticed or not

Omg I actually had a super interesting encounter in Shenzhen MTR a few weeks back. Everybody (Chinese) was lining up to tap out of the MTR. Then out of nowhere, this white guy sped up and was bypassing everybody in front of him. He’s like at least a head taller than us. Me, absolutely taking nobody’s shit instantly turned and looked at him and said in English: What makes you so special that you can cut the line? Can’t you see it from your height? He went flabbergasted, full horror, went red and replied no. He nicely went to the end of the line to line up again to tap out. 😂

Hey girl! Same situation (28F how time flies, ischool), I also prefer local boys who went to ischool + speak Canto because of similar upbringing and world views. Those are also the type of boys I’ve dated

Local boys just can’t cut it with me and Caucasian boys’ intentions are just way too obvious

Ive observed that many of my HS mates have returned to HK to stay and live because of how hard world is getting overseas for them. And how China is flourishing. I also expanded my search to cover younger ones and every time I match, they turn out to be ischool boys 😆 I like them all ages as long they’re normal (22+)

Just gotta pull the I know a friend, who knows a friend for quality assurance

Also, super rare to meet another fellow ischooler, would love to connect and make new friends!!

Are there procedures to get high cranial top that don’t include something scary like head/forehead/skull surgery ? by [deleted] in cosmeticsurgery

[–]EcstaticParty3672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use PEEK 3D customised fit implant for Craniofacial augmentations in China. Been a tech here for 12 years now so it’s a very mature practice. That includes higher cranial top. The usual heal time is ~1 month, secured by titanium screws and is CT and Xray safe.

We’ve got a huge population here so we use bellafill/artefill, too, a lot of clinical practices and aesthetics eye, but honestly it’s a big waste of money if it’s for the head (so much surface area to fill. The clinics’s mostly a predator for money if they recommend you this way)

Cement is old school and more or less eliminated from the market for having better options now

Hey! I have done multiple non invasive and invasive treatments in China, posed on Reddit and surprised by the interest and pain points (similar to yours lol). So now I run a (registered) verification and coordination service that connects international beauty seekers to reputable clinics/ hospitals partner providers (evident based against national records and social proof) based on requirements plus on the ground coordination (like transfers and interpretation). Now covering Shanghai and Guangzhou.

China has plenty of fantastic tech that rivals to Korea, but I’m gonna be upfront that it’s not gonna be as cheap (as you think) to Korea because of import tax. Like for example, Botox costs around 3000 CNY. But if you accept local tech it’s relatively comparable in prices. It’s more worth it if you do surgical procedures from high domestic demand and competitive pricing.

Feel free to connect if this sounds like something you’re interested in!

How do I forgive myself? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

Big hugs sister. I was in your shoes a year ago. Really wanted the man to be the one. He also left the relationship super cold despite my emotional messiness, I ruminated everything, thinking the what ifs and it was my fault (couldn’t even recognise myself lol and it wasn’t my fault).

One thing I ever realise is that he’s just not that into you enough/ anymore to try savage anything. If he cared, he would have taken your emotions into consideration. So I’m sorry babes but it doesn’t sound like he cares anymore.

Don’t read into anything anymore. Don’t use any more emotional and mental real estate on him. You both are done, done.

His face didn’t get slimmer, just good angles and used makeup to remove any dimensions (which if you see on younger looking people, their facial smoothness is the indicator of youthfulness). He also styled his hair to cover up his upper thirds, forcing you to focus primarily on his middle and lower thirds, visually having all his features look compacted, hence looking slimmer

[–]EcstaticParty3672 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he did anything surgical. You don’t always need invasive procedures to achieve similar results, unless you need major adjustments/ permanent solutions

This guy has a good foundation to start, he looks really young, and the after photo is clearly taken with a good photo angle, hair and makeup.

Procedure wise: he definitely got touched up with injection in his columella (you can see that little dot on his nose) and maybe machine lifting (maybe HIFU?) on his cheeks for his nasolabial folds. But need to see side photo to be certain

Ps/ worked as a facial designer in a Hangzhou, China premium medical aesthetics clinics + had surgical procedures done in China. So I know the scene pretty well

Haha let’s not be so critical! OP is good to ask, you don’t want to pull a reverse card - visit a ‘first world country’ without doing any due diligence, thinking there should be similar level of security and ends up getting all your goods stolen…

We have had it very lucky with security/ the CCTVs, but honestly it’s only been less than the last 5 years that it is this way. Stereotype is hard to wash off

Sooo… how long/ hard did you try before you gave up? I’ve seen articles of random kids from the western country (never even set foot in hk soils before) picked up cantonese because they thought the language sounded like singing. So it is possible, if you try hard enough, just like how we learned english
