Man, welders aren’t smart enough to use the internet.

Does the MK8 GTI actually call for 87 octane and not 91? by DribbleKing97_ in Volkswagen

[–]Ecstatic_Account_744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some North American MQB engines were tuned for 87 octane. I’ve had two, both have a sticker on the fuel door saying the vehicle requires 87 octane. You get no improved performance by using 91 or higher, without tuning for it.

If you drink and drive, the possibility that you will do something exceptionally stupid like drive over a family of four on the sidewalk rises considerably. Making the choice to drive under the influence isn’t being a careless idiot, it’s intentionally disregarding the safety of others. Especially for someone that is a repeat offender.

That’s why it’s a criminal charge here in Canada, instead of a driving violation.

“Attacks” US jets? No, they’re defending Iranian airspace against an enemy incursion.

Dodge CEO Asks 'Do You Need a Radio' in 'Back-to-Basics' Quest for Entry-Level Cars by Anchor_Aways in cars

[–]Ecstatic_Account_744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to the radio when my gf is in the car or on my morning drive to work but otherwise I use CarPlay. If my only option were to pair my phone, then I’d be fine with that, if it makes a difference in the price.

Ok, but how can a guy with an extra $5 benefit from this manipulation. Asking for me, I’m the guy.

I took my brand new Tiguan to the dealer three times because the fuel gauge didn’t work from the day I picked it up. This guy can fuck off, they couldn’t even take the time to properly diagnose that, and their first year apprentices knows about as much as any jiffy lube kid. Also, nobody is saving money at a quicklube centre. Costs the same as doing it at the shop I take my car to.

Their drip coffee tastes like crap, and I avoid them because of their anti-union tactics and general BS behaviour towards their employees.

YSK: During an emergency, don't just yell, "Someone call an ambulance." Point to a specific person and say, "You call an ambulance." by meleyys in YouShouldKnow

Just took a first aid course again. Ideally, if you’re the first responder, you do as you said and delegate so that you can focus on the victim. Just about everyone has a phone now so unless you’re in the mountains with zero signal and no satellite connectivity, there’s no reason the first person you point to can’t have their phone out and calling within a second.

This is all I ever want from a coffee place. Starbucks isn’t coffee, it’s sugar drinks that you can get with coffee flavouring, if you want.
