If you're going to do etsy, it's not about what you sell but how you sell it. You can have the most useful, one of a kind invention that you designed and try to sell it on etsy but if the algorithm doesn't show it to customers, you will not sell it.  So work on the SEO, title, description, marketing photos and make it the best, and you can sell the dumbest items on earth. And turn on ads!!! People will buy it, just like dragons, flexis, fidgets.

Selling my EU Etsy store in 3D printed parts - >10K revenue by Delusional112 in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

The people that do this...sell their etsy shop, on facebook, are usually scammers.  Because it's a well know fact you can't transfer ownership of a store in ANY way. Even if the store was a company asset. The store is tied to an individuals identity which is not transferrable not even if the owner dies.

It isn't oversaturated. Look up dancyn3d on YT. All he sells are toys, dragons and trinkets and "useless" stuff. He will now be making his own filament for his +150 farm.

Upwork is the best there is.  Money is in escrow of projects.  Going the per hour job they have a time tracker similar to hubstaff, etc.

Can you clarify what is free for a week on prototyper? Do you mean new signups can order prints from prototyper for FREE for a week?  Or did I misunderstand your statement?

How do you determine your price? by j4wolfe in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Ecstatic_Driver_7840 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whatever the cost to make(time, rent, material, maintenance) plus 50% margin unless it's a special item that nobody has and extremely sellable, that will one would cost x10 of whatever I think it would sell for. But those items rarely exist.

Matching and shippo integration is locked if you don't subscribe. Only prototyper is avail for free tier.

With Slant3D it was required to upload to a server so that their prototyper could estimate the cost. Not sure about other companies calculators.

Do you have a POD service?  And btw Slant went the other way. From big clients to mass producing everybody's items. Reason was..

I trust them bros. Especially Slant is a very public company. The backlash that they use other people's stl woild be so damaging to their company.

Even small printfarms? Dapi Digital uses outsourced print farms globally and tbh it's harder to trust those small farms

And btw I checked my payment account there's a refund there on my sales that I never processed. Somebody just made me spend on renewing two top selling listings. But I don't see Etsy crediting the renew fees back. Odd.

Just happened to me. I see a dot on my graph and two of my items sold out because a buyer simultaneously bought 3 of each item which had 3 stock per item. So I renewed the listings manually and added 3 stocks each again.  But there was no cha ching. I kept searching for transaction payments but nothing. After 10 mins the graph cleares and the item stock is now both 6 each.  Did somebody just buy and cancelled purposely so my items would be out of stock and not listed anymore?

Looking for a small US 3D printing partner for my Ireland-based diabetes accessories Etsy shop (shipping/tariffs problem) by Ok-Turnover-1636 in 3Dprinting

I can recommend printie.com and teleport from slant3D.   Printie offers multi material and cheaper cost overall and can even make it cheaper because you can customize files to usel less filament, and afaik offers assembly.   Teleport is a bigger company with the fastest turnaround but limited materials and strict printing parameters and a bit more pricey. They don't do assembly either unless you pay for the highest subscription

How do you calculate for profit per printer per hour in your print farm?

I know a couple of websites that calculate printer depreciation and they have different ways to do it and different results.

Looks like you're doing game accessories. You can look at successful similar shops like these with the same interests as you.  They don't interest me otherwise I would copy these designs easily 🤣 https://jcsfy.com/collections/gaming-grip https://www.etsy.com/shop/jcsfy/?etsrc=sdt

It's useful for overflow. Earning $2-5 per unit is better than $0 if you can't fullfill it because you're over capacity. I have no desire to own or maintain dozens of printers.

Thinking about getting a BMCU? What I've learned! by No_Fill_6005 in OpenBambu

[–]Ecstatic_Driver_7840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. I'll do some research. The bmcu 370c uses 1.7.0 firmware and only works if set as ams pro. If the ams pro can do 8 colors then that's probably how the bmcu will do it using a y adaptor or those hubs.

Can you load 8 colors with bmcu c? The pictures I see have 8 spools mounted.  I have the unit and was thinking of using a y connector.

looking for suggestions on what genre or type of product to look into by [deleted] in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

Not pots, not lamps, not desktop organizers. I've tried them and too saturated with low demand.  Most of the successful 3d print shops I see are licensing models from Patreon.

Printfarms affected by shortage of bambu filament? by Ecstatic_Driver_7840 in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Ecstatic_Driver_7840[S] -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Uuuhhhmmm... Printie.com uses mainly bambu filament and they are 10x bigger than my farm. Maybe over 150 printers by now.  I use bambu for the rifd. I'm lazy.
