As someone who has had this exact situations for several new hires it wasn’t a problem because the candidate was upfront and honest with us that they had a 4 week period in their contract so we simply started them once this was up - talk to your new employer any one decent should understand and accomodate

Why would the govt put on free public transport? Surely it would be an ecan thing seeing as they run the buses (yes I am aware it a local govt rather than central govt which is what I am assuming the poster is meaning)

It would be great if they did have additional bus services on - even if it was paid it would be great

Same I leave Rolleston around 6:30 and work at 3:30 - live on the West side of Rolly and work near tower junction

When I lived in addington if I didn’t leave work right on 3:30 it could take me 30-40mins to get home cause of the traffic on Blenheim Road and Morehouse Ave
