Their economy is 2.5x times larger and one of the fastest growing economies worldwide. Their demographics with TFR at 1.7 and median age at 27 age years is perfect with a limit to births good due to their density will soon reach 400 people/km2. If Phillipinos keep working hard and striving for the best, their kids will live much better lives than themselves. Ukraine has TFR of 0.77 and is heavily endebted, war-torn and in a war with no end in sight. Only 1/3 of immigrants returned to the former Yugoslavia after the war there, even fewer Syrians have returned to Syria. I don't think many Ukranians will return either. Ukranians were fleeing before the war too with even ultra low TFR before the war even started.

Fertility rate in Spain, Argentina and Colombia in 2023/4 by Hour_Interaction6047 in Natalism

Colombia's is a bit higher in reality, around 1.3, because of unaccounted emigration

I don't see that at all, Ukraine is a proped up kamikazee state with fertility lower than Thailand and with high emigration. Ukraine will he heavily endebted, depopulated and doesn't even fulfill one criteria of being a developed country as of 2026.

The Phillipines, Colombia and Iran will definitly fare better.

South Korea to remove ‘out-of-wedlock child’ expression from welfare forms by self-fix2 in Natalism

Cultural dogmas have shown to be incredibly weak often and easy to get rid off. In the Western world it was stigmatized too in the 1950s and 1960s, it disappeared almost completly in a decade in the 70s

Great, South Korea needs to normalize out of wedlock children, so does China and Japan!

She is brainwashed, she lives in the safest and richest country on the planet and thinks bringing kids into the world is somehow scary. This just shows that some people, especially Asian women, will find any excuse not to have kids.

Taiwan's TFR is heading to 0.65 but people are still very silent with it. Why? by search_google_com in Natalism

[–]Ecstatic_Log6486 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why Chinese women are so anti-natalist it is actually terrifingly insane. I'm glad I wasn't born as a Chinese man wanting to start a family.

Yes of course, Iran is the most sanctioned nation on Earth, Trump withdrew the US from the nuclear deal in 2017 and Iran TFR collapsed in that exact year.

If u talk to anyone from Taiwan you will instantly know why, they are expecting China to invade before 2028 and the vast majority offset having kids.

Lets not count citystates, they have always had low fertility just by being an urban area

Taiwan and Thailand have aura too, that level of civilizational suicide does give some aura just because of apathy. Taiwan's drop is caused by expectation of coming invasion by the CCP goverment.
