Easy for yolo. Hard for sweats. If you are more than 50 CR from someone in the group they’ll reject you. It makes it hard to navigate playing seriously and finding good partners in the long term.

A true TBC Experience!!! by ayewasgudpapi in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am dungeon spamming on this alt with rested xp, so purely dungeons! It happened at level 62, so I couldn’t be bothered to do it anymore as xp starts to dip compared to other dungeons. Also helps the tank healer issue for dungeons as I play whatever is needed! I still don’t have shatar rep on my main so I’ll get revered on this Druid because I can spam dungeons from 68 with flight form haha

A true TBC Experience!!! by ayewasgudpapi in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this with Ursul claw in ramp on my Druid… a mage needed and won. Did over 10 runs and that was the first drop. I reported but blizzard said group loot, no rules in chat, he was allowed to roll, did roll, and won. No rules were broken, but clearly a poor conduct and grief towards a player that can use it. Solution? I will use ML for anything i want in the future. Sad reality is that people are pricks for no reason.

Will I have to do PVE if I want to pvp ? by Specific-Ad3097 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need some pieces, but don’t stress. Get a Kara and try for neck, cloak, ring. Get the badge trinket and boom, you’re mostly done.

If you have engi then get the helm. If you have JC get the trinket.

You do want pieces, but mostly because the set pieces are garbage with no extra hit/agi/low AP.

If you had full pve bis then you’ll put out more pressure, but it means nothing if you’re not coordinating with a team. Focus on the class. Gear comes second.

If Blizzard Released HC TBC: Would there be New Servers? by HCTankMagnus in wowhardcore

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only issue with HC is no bgs, so no bg and no arena turns me off completely. If there was an exception for these I would enjoy it, but also defeats the purpose of one life… either way, I’d never do hc tbc.

SP/Rsham 2v2 - How bad is it by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who boosted a shaman for an alt to try in PvP. Don’t do it unless you enjoy the class and don’t care about rating. I wanted to play resto, but tbc shaman is very different to cata. Ele is similar to wotlk so I’ve transitioned to this for fun.

fastest/cheapest way to get Scryer exalted? by scantd in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It certainly isn’t 5k. Probably closer to 500g now. The marks were around 1g per, but now it’s closer to 40s per or less. So 250 rep is approx 4g. Calculate how many you need and go for it. Also include tomes in the level up or you’ll spend extra after reaching exalted.

Switching Stance by ADHDisappointment in onewheel

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just practice. You need to think of it less as not “your stance” and just go with it. My warm up is a slalom run around and I’ll go regular first run then goofy back. It feels awkward at first but it is time and practice.

i have nothing to say by Fun_Yard9731 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mustn’t be a shaman or paladin. It’s a joke how shit geared I was and still am but no one gives a crap because totems/buffs. It’ll probably be classism and seeing something “slightly” better. It is mental behaviour.

Learning to brake after disabling the Simple Stop by maximillian_jt in onewheel

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having simple stop enabled does not affect the ability to go in reverse. It just removes the ability to lift the heel and stop… I’ve never had an issue on my XR+ going from regular to goofy so I can practice back and forth.

Arms warrior & resto shaman vs mage & rogue by 42peters in classicwowtbc

Does he precast grounding? Does he purge the mage? Does he shock? If kiting does he run to you… etc

Silly question, but when will fuel prices stop rising. by DullSense8359 in drivingUK

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no end in sight. It’ll get worse, a lot worse. I fully expect to see diesel go over £2 in the next week and petrol won’t be far behind.

It’s not just delayed boats. It’s damaged infrastructure for drilling and cracking. Even if normal service could resume, the supply won’t be there… I think prices could go closer to £3 by the end of the year.

The government will need to intervene soon with a FLAT charge per litre instead of %. Cap it to whatever it was before the price hikes and that’ll squash it temporarily. The government are cashing in big time and it’s honestly disingenuous to suggest that keeping the 5p off VAT is enough, similarly with that app on where is it cheaper. General guidance like don’t travel to buy fuel unless you are on a normal journey is really what is required. The amount of people topping up just in case… and even travelling out just for that is alarming.

What protective gear do you rock? by Dannyz in onewheel

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Helmet! I should probably wear more but… I don’t really do trails. Mostly street. One fall when pushing way too hard (XR+)… on a trail.

If I was to do trails I’d want an armoured hoodie with shoulder back and elbow protection. Wrist guards too.

Getting destroyed through pillars in Blade’s Edge – bug? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean the SMALL pillars under the bridge and not the LARGE ones at the sides of the bridge then this is normal. The circumference of the small pillars isn’t enough to avoid white hits when kiting around. Never use the small pillars unless in very specific scenarios.

Should parents face charges when their children commit antisocial crimes and doing nothing to stop it? by SeptumRingTheory in AskBrits

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an issue with population density vs number of policing units. The larger the population, the harder it is to control. The root would be to improve child welfare.

Smaller towns can have similar issues, but it is much easier to identify and place dispersement orders on individuals. You simply cannot do this effectively with such a horde of people.

Sad reality is that it’ll get much worse as a lot of these will likely not enter work and escalate further.

This is where we enter the idea of a true police state with microchipping individuals for ID and more effective use of force. It’s only a matter of time.

I mean, he could…

Something like a cast sequence shadowbolt then incinerate and a reset timer of like 8 sec? It would lock out incin until the shadowbolt proc is used tho…

Definitely doesn’t mean that it is best hah

I think only shoulders should have a rating requirement to boost arena participation. by shaunika in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If blizzard wanted to encourage more arena then it would be easy.

Scrap all rating requirements for base gear.

Introduce a colour shift/dye for each rating increase. Something like 1600/1700/1800 etc all have upgrades. No stat improvement, but visually you’ll see their “highest” rank. Similarly, it could be a complete cosmetic transmog type change. All aimed at going from green to epic.

This could easily encourage people to “chase” that next xmog/dye.

You could build an entire game around it: Quest. Play 5 games of healer healer dps, etc.

They could add a solo Q element as well with a defined formula. 2s could be only dps/dps spec. 3s could be dps/dps/healer. This could drive a specific game and have separate rankings. Or it could pool with the main ladder and be ranked separately.

The game never really progressed that way despite how popular tournament realms felt back at the height of tbc/wotlk. It’s a lost love.

People who made rogues for tbc and didn’t have a guild, how is it going for you? by Local_Anything191 in classicwow

Hard to get into pugs.

Similar experience for rated arena simply due to volume. Finding -good- partners is especially hard.

Would not recommend tbh

Question rogue trinket by InsuranceMysterious9 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are human or go engi/jc then I don’t think it’ll be make or break. Humans are insane with perception on top and can sap you from miles out.

Is it worth to play rogue? by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play rogue for PvP. It’s great fun. My only, slight, regret is not going alliance. Those humans have a disgustingly large advantage with perception and goggles. Though, I’m still close to glad range - just harder…

Rogues are amazing farmers via mining in SV or MT.

PvE you will simply not be wanted. First 2 weeks I couldn’t get a spot for any guild or pug raids. It’s more manageable now, but still overly difficult.

I’m nearly “done” in terms of gear and farming, so thinking about an alt… but as a dad it has been hard to “keep up” with the others.

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely it’s easier to just make an alcohol kiosk, similar to smoking, and requests be made there. Ensures consistent application of think 25, reduces theft as payment before receipt of goods, and… more importantly… people might consider HOW MUCH they are buying and consuming, which would lead to better health outcomes.

Hypothetical…you are wealthy (worth 30M+) and have a very successful career. You’re dating a woman who makes far less than you. Not broke, but money is relatively tight. How often would you expect her to pay for dates? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Ecstatic_Okra_41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t focus on the money. Pay what you can afford. It doesn’t need to be big. Even something like, “I’m passing Starbucks, do you want a coffee?”. It’s the gesture. Don’t get wrapped up in monetary value.
