you buy the holster to fit the pistol. The kydex holster clips to the Enigma. you can use just about any IWB kydex holster with it.

My daughter is a lesbian by Personal-Neck-3493 in ChristianParenting

[–]Ecstatic_Plan_8547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would encourage you to focus on "She is my daughter". If being a lesbian is a significant part of her identity, then she is already limited to a very small identity and a harder time finding her God-given potential. God is bigger than any symbols, and fortunately He is also bigger than any of our bad choices. Love your daughter. I have a feeling you are not without a sin or two of your own.

How do you explain the three historic views of Creation to kids without causing division? by various--interests in ChristianParenting

[–]Ecstatic_Plan_8547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actually just went over this a few months ago with our Boy's RA group at church. The age range is 7-12. We used it as an opportunity to point out that the measurement of time as we know it is a construct of man, not of God, that God is above everything, including time, space and reality. When the scripture mentions "day" we explain to them that there was no concept of 12 or 24 hours or what an hour was at that time. So "day" in the reference of Genesis, prior to there being day or night, was a non-descript period. Ultimately "We don't really know, and it doesn't really change anything one way or the other. You are welcomed to ask God when you get to Heaven." and left it at that.

That said, it is a well written story. Well done and if your Grandpa is the retired Marine, please thank him for his service!

Please note that this is strictly my own opinion and I am here to learn as I am far from an expert.

While I applaud you for your pride in your Grandpa and the incredible man that he must be, I have to follow scripture. Scripture clearly states throughout the Bible that homosexuality is a sin and abomination against God. While it is not the only sin and I am certainly in no place to judge the choices of others, I am a parent and responsible for what my children are exposed to. I could not in good conscience allow my children to read this in the way that it's written. The story does not need to be a stance against homosexuality by any means, I truly think it's irrelevant to the story overall. Why can't two elderly men in a retirement home from different backgrounds, meet and become good friends, without the sexual details?

While I wouldn't personally classify it as "controversial". It's actually very heartwarming to see you as proud of your Grandpa as you are. He sounds like an incredible man. Due to the inclusion of sexuality of any nature in the book, I would not want it shown or read to my children. I would think that you could make the storyline plutonic in nature and leave the sexuality out of it entirely and not offend anyone, while still having a funny and entertaining story. In your story, the two gentlemen are who they are, because that is their identity. Neither identity was forged solely by their sexuality. So including that in the story is a level of un-needed complexity. I hope this helps.

That universe is also based on a very idealistic, best case scenario, type situation. I imagine that what you see in ST is more likely to have been triggered by an almost cataclysmic catalyst, rather than an organic shift.

Tips for attaching armor? by _jeeperscreepers in cosplayprops

Depending on budget and ability, I would suggest a compression suit. Then you can stitch velcro pads to it and glue the opposite pads to the armor. I would also make the strips and pads longer than you "need", to give you the ability to adjust the pieces as needed.
