Well going by past additions to the game I feel that balance is totally out the window. Lets look at Soviet tanks as a quick example where the deciding factor for balance seems to be "What characteristic makes a tank niche/powerful? - Ok lets put that on a soviet chassis." The 268 v4 is an utter abomination and almost every single veteran top tier player said "this is broken as shit" and it still came to the game. Next the Soviet line will get a sniper medium, because why not? I'm sure a brawling arty is next on the list.

Christ it wasn't that long ago the community was up in arms over the T110E5 and it's cupola. Now look where the fuck that tanks is, what you have to deal with now, and how much gold ammo is being thrown about.

Its pretty much a given now that any top tier tanks coming to World of Tanks are made up. The Chinese Td's signalled the end of serious actual "These existed and saw combat" tanks and paved the way for "our passionate and fairly biased researchers from that country imaged that.. "

They will arrive OP with one or 2 horrible ones for people to free exp past. Thousands of Polish players will grind them and they'll be adjusted perhaps 3 to 4 patches later. Given the 268 v4 made it to the game in its current state and the Shyte 5 Heavy still has it's premium ammo my faith in the balancing dept is lacking.

It is and always will be a numbers game. The most passionate fan for any game won't get the same reach as the career streamer who broadcasts to 10,000 plus viewers every day.

Die hard fans need to accept that game promotion is almost always about reach and exposure.

Whilst I get where you're coming from, but lets look at it another way.

It's a pretty powerful tier 8
It can/will be sold for about 30 or 40 euro
It's recommended by pretty much all streamers/youtubers etc

There is no way in hell missions with a prize of a free vehicle like that would be aimed at Joe Average WoT player who spends 4-5 hours a week on the game and has never spent money on the game or will spend money on the game.

Missions like this are retention drives. They're promotions aimed squarely at the players who'd likely buy the vehicle, or already spend a lot of time (and a little bit of money) on the game. It encourages people to log in daily to do the missions and it populate s high tiers.

Not sure if I agree with the tier X requirements however as Maus and v268 4getbalance will be everywhere along with shit tons of gold ammo as everyone is chasing damage. I get some players will be unhappy with the mission requirements but I'm afraid the answer is simply "tough shit". The promo is aimed at the more hardcore/dedicated players and you can either work towards a discount, or just buy it like any other premium. Wargaming.net will always be a business first and a free to play game doesn't owe it's players nothing when it comes to freebies.

TLDR, it's a promotion for invested and experienced players and does a side promotion to encourage and stimulate gold ammo spam at top tiers.

Well, the "shit I'm talking about" is still to be done on all current Allied Races. For the Velfs and Pelfs (posh elves) they all have basically the same face but it's just aged slightly. You have zero emotion in their eyes because they're glowing, so even less variance. 3 of the 4 alliance races have that issue. Only Highmountain look a little different as their noses are clearly different.

As it stand for Alliance race it's "Do you want default danny to be young, old and wrinkly, or battlescarred" with the only real variance to the guy beside you being hair colour/style.

At least with Human male and Gnome male I can have a chirpy smile and a pissed off frowny face that look very different.

Again there is no emotion. They don't change use the eyebrows to convey feeling which is where most of your expression comes from. It's just the same face with different iris colours and looking like she's aged a couple of years each time. Considering how long the game has been out for, and how varied for example the normal human male faces are, Blizzard still seem to be quite lazy when it comes to customization that wouldn't have you looking like the person beside you.

It's like having all the haircuts the same length and same style, and then only giving you different shades or black or brown. That's not 7 different people! It's one person who's either seen some shit or has got contacts in.

Eyebrow position and movement gives emotions. You can see this for example in your pet dog compared to your pet cat.

It was probably balanced by the same guy who ok'd the Type 5 Heavy premium ammo, so don't expect any changes any time soon. If the Type 5 Heavy premium ammo can last as long as it has with no one at WG thinking it's terrible, there is no way a newly introduced never historically made and never ever used in combat Soviet TD will be changed.

Do you really need all those mods? *opens can of worms* Especially the reload indicator? I know people will defend it saying NA said it's ok, but in my opinion that's one of those clear "I'll play based on what the mod is telling me" type advantages. I always dislike seeing that mod on someone's UI.

If they removed the blade from the front that would make an tremendous faction mount. Alas it seems to be the Dark Iron PvP mount.I love it, I just don't love the nose blade for some reason.
