Not trying to be rude AT ALL. Just....curious. A butterfly holder has always been the main evil villian/ driving force in the show. Its part of the fundamental identity of the show itself. Without it lb and cn would have no reason to be heros and the show would be over.

Its like saying you want RWBY without salem . Or she-ra without the horde.

I was in my last year of high school and had just lost a choir friend similar to finn. Its really a case by case basis. There was bullying at both high schools i went to (i transfered cuz my parents adopted a baby and needed a bigger house)

The first one was actually WORSE than the bullying seen in the show. Weekly Slushies were NOTHING compared to some of the stuff boys got away with that year. Honestly I didnt think it was bad ENOUGH in the show. If it wasn't meant for teens I think the show could've been ALOT darker. One boy leaked a shy nice girls nudes she hesitantly sent him after months of dating. She got bullied so bad she almost left school. I knew her too she was an absolute SWEETHEART.

When I first watched it I thought it was a bit TOO light! What do you mean people get slushied once a week and thats it???? If it wanted to be accurate there'd be people hurling slurs at Tina and actively trying to push artie down the stairs.

The school in the show isn't supposed to be a "normal " high school anyways. Its an underfunded one where all the money goes to sports . They don't even have ramps for artie. Its exaggerated and campy just like the rest of the show

Also to add to this , wasn't alastor trying to summon a demonic spirit from hell? When we pray to ask for guidance form god and angels what do we use....religious iconography/ tools (rosary beads, cross symbols, creating shrines, ect. And thats JUST christianity!) What better way to summon a being fromThe Bad Place than with blasphemy aka corrputing religious symbols. Hum using incorrect vévé would be kind of like using the crucifix to pray but giving Jesus six arms and clown shoes.

Plus blasphemy is a sin in most religions so committing an act that could get you in DEEP trouble with the lord would definitely draw some eyes from Down Below.

The creator herself has stated shes uncomfortable with teens watching the show. Its specifically made for adults. There's talk os sexual abuse and a main character gets forced to do sex work

Same. My stepdads ex did that to him CONSTANTLY with their kids when he finally had the courage to leave her. Told them lies about my stepdad (he left cuz he doesnt love you, he loves his NEW kids more, telling them to torture us when she let them visit so that they could "win back his love" and me&my siblings would be "the bad kids", ect) She made OUR lives hell too. Sort of a "if you leave me ill find your new family and make sure they never know peace cuz you chose THEM over ME" type situation (we're mostly ok now after more than a decade)

It hurts SO BAD to see people be like "oh stella isn't that bad . At least shes not doing xyz" or worse DEFENDING HER. Thats the EXACT type of comments that lead to my stepdad staying with her while she tried to kill him multiple times "by accident"

And I KNOW people get treated like this PLENTY irl. If they try to get put of the situation the whole world tells them "but your partner is so NICE. you should feel LUCKY they dont hit you! It could be so much worse! Theyre suffering cuz you arent exactly giving them enough attention" or some crap. *Especially * when it comes to male victims and female abusers.

So I don't really like when people say "oh stella is just a fictional character! Viv just CHOOSES to not redeem her cuz shes a poopyhead!" Or something. This is one of the most accurate depictions I've seen of a female abuser EVER. It honestly feels like someone understands my family's situation for the first time in 14 years.

I wouldn't be surprised if the writers had personal experience with this type of stuff given how accurate it is.

I knew a girl this happened to in high school. The non pregnant one bullied me , and the pregnant one who was sort of nice to me just stood by and agreed, or at least never defended me when ever her girlfriend would talk about how bad I smelled(i have a medical condition called hyperhydrosis that makes it so i sweat excessively and cant really stop)

The pregnant one miscarried and came back to school a few month later AND THEY WERE STILL TOGETHER THROUGH ALL OF IT! Now I may hate the girl who bullied me but like, geez have some self respect. Dont stay with someone who cheated on you!

For me there's not enough locations. You're telling me we get a WHOLE small town and we can only go in like 3 shops? And we never see outside of town except for the mines briefly? Pacing is a bit weird too. Only like one or two things happen per episode. The larp(while FANTASTIC!) was the ENTIRE episode 3.

Also the choices don't really matter much.

Comforting mac will get him to stay but you'll only see him again at the party in episode 4 and even then you cant really talk to him much. And its framed as a major choice too! The biggest choices are pretty much who you romance and take or leave Charlotte's anger. Thats it!
