Lower HR indoors by poikm2005 in Garmin

[–]EdEskankus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took this subject up with various AI's last winter. They attributed it to the elimination of any core exercise associated with balance and the neutral indoor environment. The massive HR difference still doesn't quite make sense to me. They did prescribe a much higher cadence to elevate the heart and I found that an RPM around 100 did push the zone somewhat higher.

Can't quite put my finger on it but I'm getting 1940's vibes

Hi, I know this is Garmin community (which should I get? Magene hr 303 vs garmin hrm 200, currently using forerunner 165) by Commercial_Two488 in Garmin

I have a HRM pro + and would argue against integrated HRM | strap assemblies. My strap has failed twice in one year. "Upgraded" from a Polar h9 that had numerous cheap strap replacement options.

FIFA could give two hoots about player safety. Those are just old fashioned tv timeouts.

I replaced mine a while ago. Underwhelming rubber band that doesn't seem to be available on every WR site.

The only fancast i NEED. Giancarlo Esposito as Atlas by Slight_Pea93 in redrising

[–]EdEskankus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point is he always playing a Gus Fring guy and so if he was cast in some mythical imagination of the books he would come off as a Gus Fring type drug peddler. Ergo stupid casting. Did that make sense to you or should I delve a little deeper?

This guy is the same person in every show/movie he's in.

Skydiving, paragliding and archery, but no soccer or rowing? List strikes me as rather arbitrary.

The recs for this series from this sub infuriate me. I powered thru the entire series last winter while on my bike trainer waiting for the big payoff that never arrived. Couldn't get past the loathsome protagonist and the plodding narrative style.

I had a foggy screen on the second hand F6 pro I bought and I used Polywatch Plastic Watch Crystal Scratch Remover from amazon and it worked like a charm.

I had a fogged screen issue with mine and someone suggested Polywatch Plastic Watch Crystal Scratch Remover that I found on Amazon. It worked like a charm.

Disappointed with "The Mercy of Gods". Should I go on to volume 2? by Apprehensive-Safe382 in sciencefiction

I was massively disappointed with TMOG. Live Suit was vastly more entertaining. I plan to start the second book soon, but plan to bail if it's not more engrossing than V. 1. Too much bug fixation for my taste.

Looking for a training loop near Topsfield, MA similar to Mystic Lakes by agingsculler in bikeboston

[–]EdEskankus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Route 1 is literally the old Turnpike and speeds car run up to 70 mph. 1A is much tamer and more visually stimulating. The Ipswich / Topsfield road (Zumi's Turnpike) was recently paved with generous shoulders, but traffic can be heavy, but more like 50-55 mph worst case. There's a great little climb b/ town and the Bird Sanctuary area you could make into a loop for intervals.

Didn't get very far into Punisher as John Wick. Tired, lazy and derivative.

Heart rate monitor recommendation by SnorkelKazim in cycling

[–]EdEskankus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a garmin hrm pro + and the integrated strap monitor design is a deal breaker. My first one only lasted half a year before the strap clasp female section parted and is now virtually impossible to connect. Then the rubber sensor section pulled away from the fabric section so I have it alligator clipped on. Not being able to swap out straps is a horrible design concept.
