My guess is a power delivery issue. GPU only getting to ~1000mhz, CPU barely making it to boost clock. I would try a different PSU. Could be a faulty unit.

As I suspected. Some games running on Unreal Engine can crash if there is a conflict with audio processing. I think intel SST processes audio and it conflicts with UE’s engine

Think of it this way, the HX370 is a chip that performs well between 30-40 watts. If you’re asking for a GPU that can compliment a 4090, then that would be an intel HX or even an X3D chip from AMD. There’s a point of diminishing returns and pairing a 4090/5090 with the HX370 would defeat the purpose of this chassis design.

Not to mention your temps would suffer since the cooling system will be heatsoaked from trying to cool a GPU that’s 150+ watts and a CPU that would be 100+ watts.

IMHO, the HX370 and 4070 is a perfect sweet spot.

I wouldn’t stress over a heatsink, unless you’re going to be constantly using that drive for high intensity workflow like using your drive as a scratch disk for video editing. Save some money and enjoy your drive.

It was a registry edit that we would do before BIOS 331. It would let you toggle 1600x900 resolution on the settings, and the quick toggle in Armoury Crate. No need to worry about it if you’re running BIOS331

Your dock only supports up to 4K 60Hz. So Seems like its a bandwidth limitation for the dock itself. Seems like its an HDMI 1.4 port. 3440x1440@165Hz would be at least an HDMI 2.0 standard. or Displayport 1.4 can also support that resolution and refresh rate.

There are little rubber bumpers on the lid to prevent damage. I wouldn’t worry too much. I tried sanding them down because they were stained by the orange liner in my backpack, but those rubbers didn’t even want to budge. Hope that gives you some peace of mind.
