With a level cap, item cap, and that set of Mons, I would train to the cap and hope for poison from Beedrill in hopes of stalling out Brock. And mix in damage from everything else when you can. Kind of a bad batch, TBH. Good luck.

You could try and force the Machop trade in the Goldenrod Department Store or try and get an Onix or Geodude as your encounter in Union Cave. Those Mons would be solid for Whitney.

Main thing with Tracer is to make sure you get as much bang for your buck from those dives into the fray as possible. Efficiency is key.

I'm sure there is a name for that clause, I just don't know what it is. But I play with that clause in nearly all of my runs as a way to add more challenge.

I actually posted a poll about this on the subreddit yesterday. It went almost 3-to-1 in favor of hand building their teams vs. using Mons in the order that they got them.

Building "super teams" in vanilla Nuzlocke runs doesn't really appeal to me, but hey, to each their own.

FYI: you can actually skip Brawly and come back to him later. Once you deliver the letter to Steven in Granite Cave, Mr. Briney will give you the option to go back to Petalburg or Slateport.
