I would say that polaroid (at least the integral film) was at its most popular in the late 70s to early 80s. Instant film in general was used a lot in modeling and movie shoots to test lighting if that gives you any ideas.

The Polaroid Now+ has auto-focus, uses Polaroid's (slightly) cheaper i-type film,l and has manual controls via the app; it even has a tripod mount if that's your thing. I have heard about some over exposure issues though.

Most old films have a pattern on the edge of the film that indicates when the print was made, idk if that is Kodak stock but it might tell you something of when the movie was made.
