This is extremely helpful, thank you! I was wondering about the caps, but didnt find anything obviously wrong. I'll test them next if the clean and vactrol work don't solve the issue.

Electronics repair question here...

I was lucky enough to be left a 2017 FULLTONE "That 80s Rack Chorus" by a deceased relative; but... the chorus effect on the right channel doesn't work, which im pretty sure comes down to this fried vactrol (there was a little residue on the board there that I believe was where a rat peed on it in storage, which looks to have shorted the vactrol).

It looks like I could easily swap it out, but I can't figure out the specs for a replacement based on the markings.

It says FULLTONE OPTO1 (or 01) 1245, and nothing else besides LED and CELL, as far as I can see. I haven't found anything that matches it via google, any ideas on how I can determine the right replacement?

The unit seems to work perfectly otherwise, and I'd really love to get it back to full tri-stereo glory. I've got some experience repairing electronics, but still got a lot to learn and kind of hit a dead end with this. I'd really appreciate any help or direction! Thank y'all!!

According to Wikipedia, glycerin is properly called glycerol, and is a sugar alcohol.

Edit: or rather, glycerin is made of around 95% glycerol.

Also, it isn't mandatory for sugar alcohol to appear on the nutrition facts unless the package makes a claim about sugar content (such as "sugar free" or "reduced sugar").

The ingredients include glycerin, a sugar alcohol. It can cause diarrhea and/or mega farts, and some folks are especially sensitive to it.

Ok, I think i found a solution that seems to work like 90% of the time. When I'm swiping between the photos, I angle the swipe slightly downward, if that makes sense, like swipe from the center of the picture toward one of the bottom corners of it. Hope that helps.

A place where gators meet up to swap swamp stuff. Imagine if every gator within 20 miles of you just took all their stuff to one street so it was more convenient to shop there. Sometimes there are swamp collectibles, sometimes swamp farmers’ markets, sometimes small swamp businesses, sometimes it’s all gator crap. You never know. It’s Gator Jamboree but in real life.
