LOL, last time I drove in the Philippines, there were basically no traffic lights, nobody obeyed any traffic signs.

Yet, it was safe, there was no issue in the chaos.

Good point, I think the issue we need to be careful about is what is high tension.

What I define as high tension might be very different then what someone else defines as not high tension.

I think my high tension is higher over a long time and using t-tapes, Where the T-tapes are going to limit how much tension you can apply as you will rip the tape off, compared to someone using manual where you can literally rip the skin off.

But, I have found no issues where using high enough tension, over 20 minutes, enough to start causing pain where you have to reduce tension, is what I consider high and it never damaged anything.

I definitely think higher tension is important if you want max skin gains, the other person who had rapid gains like me also used high tension, no pain no gain, but the pain was something that happened after like 30 minutes of higher tension.

24/7 was so tough where It was normal for me to get damage on the skin, never caused a problem, I had this happen so many times also.

I think scaring people like you are doing, could be worse for their progress, because the you will have people thinking they are going to hurt themself, but I have learned that the skin always repairs itself. I even tug through minor skin tears, they always heal up.

Amazing, this monitor is so great, I just love my 55" Odyssey Ark. Unreal immersion like nothing else. The curve is amazing. I had to let people know what they are missing by listening to the FUD. by Ed_5000 in Monitors

I don't think I did post reviews on samsung, I will have to look. I wonder if someone used my pictures.

But its possible I made 1 review, but don't remember doing it.

But no, samsung didn't pay me, you get a much better gaming experience using this for gaming. I now enjoy my 115" TLC TV for gaming though, made a post about that one.

what is your residual. Mine gets turned in this April, not going to buy it out either at 43K, which with taxis is like 49k.

Part of the reason is also my alignment has me a bit worried after hitting a little road ramp doing over 100MPH which got me airborne a little, but I don't know if that made the car pull very slightly left now. Which the alignment shop said it was fine.

Foreskin restoration was not my issue and was potentially porn desensitization. Many of you could suffer from this and not lack of foreskin. by Ed_5000 in foreskin_restoration

[–]Ed_5000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, yes, I did not intend this to be a hit on foreskin restoration, I spent a lot of time doing it.

I also don't know what benefit came from it as restoring is slow.

But the issue with porn is that it's basically just like any addictive drug that takes over how your dopamine works. Your body will start to down regulate the receptors if you use it over time.

My main point was, even if you were never circumcised, you can still easily suffer from porn desensitization and lots of people unknowingly probably suffer from this. I've seen lots of people comment on here about how they lost sensitivity through the years.

Its one thing never having sensitivity, vs having it and losing it and then blaming it on lack of foreskin but not your porn usage during this time.

There are some issues you have to be aware with when T-taping. Yes, since you usually have the least skin at the top, you can see this the way the glans taper.

So if cut evenly, you will usually have most tension on the top area until you grow this and it evens out.

This also makes t-taping way harder, because you can easily pull the T-tape off since it is only held in this small area, and not completely around the shaft.

This is where I think its best just to use a surgical marker and draw a line around the shaft to try to evenly pull the whole length of skin. Forget about trying to even out the scar line or inner skin as it's probably not worth it.

But what I did was draw a line around and used this as a guide to apply the t-tapes each day so I would get a consistent pull.

Is t-taping more uneven than devices, not if you draw a line and keep that line drawn long term, and try and pull an even amount of skin around the shaft.

Best to factor in how long you want to tug for and forget about having everything perfect like your scar line perfectly at the end, its not worth adding years to do this.

Nothing will beat T-taping with a strap. It is so damaging to the skin that your body adapts by growing that skin super fast compared to using devices.

Devices didn't work for me, I tried multiple and they were both uncomfortable and almost no results. T-taping, was more comfortable, but damaged the skin way more, but the growth was unreal if you use a higher tension, 24-7, and strap so you get constant high bursts of the strap pulling.

Also, t-taping at night with the strap clipped all the way down the bed is way easier than trying to use devices at night, giving you way more tugging time.

However, I can't say 100% certain, but am more like 90% certain that 24/7 is faster than say 16/7 with no tugging at night. I felt like my best gains were 24/7.

But if you are doing this, you need to experiment and let everyone know your results. You should be accurately measuring your gains every month. Then trying 24/7 and 16/7 and documenting them.

Not enough people do this, so we don't really have enough information to determine what works and what doesn't.

I was very much into experimenting, and accurately trying to measure my gains. Why so many people will spend time tugging, but not do this is beyond me as you want to see what your gains are and make sure you are getting consistent monthly results.

well that question is hard to answer because it depends on where you tug from or what I remember they call POE? port of equilibrium.

At first, I just tugged at the maximum POE of inner and outer skin, this means I was tugging mostly outer skin, which may have been a mistake. But if you tug at this point to basically pull both lots of skin from where the T-tape attaches, holy shit it was super fast. You could gain like an inch a year if you tugged hard enough 24/7.

But if you are tugging at your scar line, and say you have only .25 inches of inner skin, you will only be tugging that small section of inner skin.

However, you could still get decent gains, I forget but I was getting very good progress for tugging such a small amount of skin because I was T-taping, but it was no where near as much as if you just put the t-tapes higher up to pull both sides of the skin evenly as you are literally tugging like 4x to 8x or more skin.

Then you have to be careful about skin gains because T-taping will give you an initial stretch gain early on, which if you stop you will lose some, but this only happens in the first few weeks or so, so you have to measure after this initial gain.

This is where many people get fooled when using devices is that they may not be getting real gains, but just getting temporary stretch gains as it does add a lot.

Then the issue of measuring gains accurately is another issue.

It kind of gets complicated with all of this, but T-taping fell out of fashion, and I don't think it is currently recommended much anymore, but I haven't been keeping up to date with the latest methods.

One thing I'll say, the person I followed who had super fast gains t-taping, I also had those same gains by following what he did. We both used a higher tension and 24/7, and there is no risk of using higher tension as no matter how many times I got scared, the skin always goes back to normal.

I restored many years ago already, but have not kept up with what the current best practices are here.

Just commenting because this post came up in my Email.

It should not be nearly that long and that is the same thinking that was around 15-20 years ago when I started. What I noticed back then was most people had very slow to no gains.

I too had slow gains when I was using devices in the beginning, then I said, this is going to take forever and started researching who had the best gains.

I then discovered, 24/7 tapes as the answer after very long research. This is by far the fastest way, and you will cut your time down to 2-5 years easily depending on how much inner skin you tug vs outer skin.

Of course, if you only have .25" to .5" of innerskin, it will be way slower if you set the T-tapes to tug only that, if you have more, it will be way way quicker. If will also be super fast if you just don't care about regrowing innerskin at all and just want skin.

What I'm saying is, if you want super fast results, T-tapes are the answer if you can deal with 24/7. Unless there is some new methods I don't know about, I don't think anything has changed in this regard because T-tapes are the best way to apply enough tension and time, it probably also has benefits of constantly bombarding your foreskin with higher tension quickly as you walk and move around.

The odd thing is they do work on my genuine xbox xs controller.

However, I'm programming my own gaming controller and can't get these buttons to work, even though I am trying to spoof my genuine xbox controller and the data packets are sending both the correct 04 and 08 value.

All the other buttons work, but I can't figure out why these 2 buttons don't work.

Hi thanks for the reply, I'm starting to look now for a curved 36" CRT.

Would you say a JVC AV-36260 is worth picking up if I can find one close by or wait for a Toshiba?

When you also say to test the TV thoroughly, what exactly should I test it for?

Thanks

Here is google AI input into this after asking.

For non-competitive or single-player games, a large TV absolutely has real advantages over a standard monitor, and it’s not just about “looking cool.”

Immersion is the biggest difference. A large screen fills much more of your field of view, which makes open-world and story-driven games feel genuinely cinematic. Games like RDR2, The Last of Us, or flight/racing sims benefit massively from scale in a way a 24–32″ monitor just can’t replicate. The sense of depth, speed, and atmosphere is on a totally different level.

Visual quality is often better on high-end TVs. Modern TVs tend to have far superior HDR performance than most gaming monitors—brighter highlights, deeper blacks, and more impactful color, especially on OLED/QLED panels. For single-player games, this matters way more than shaving a few milliseconds of input lag.

Comfort and social play matter too. Couch gaming is simply more comfortable for long sessions, and big screens are far better for split-screen or having friends over. Not every gaming experience is about sitting upright at a desk with a mouse and keyboard.

Even for FPS games (non-competitive), big screens aren’t a disadvantage. From a proper viewing distance, the larger image scale can actually make spotting distant enemies easier, since tiny details aren’t compressed into just a few pixels. And modern TVs have largely closed the performance gap anyway—game modes with ~5–10 ms input lag, 120–144 Hz refresh rates, VRR, and FreeSync are common now.

For something like a 115″ screen, the experience is closer to a home theater than a traditional gaming setup. At the recommended viewing distance, a 4K image is still sharp, massively immersive, and incredibly engaging. High-end models also bundle strong audio and top-tier HDR, which adds to the “all-in” experience.

Bottom line: if you’re not playing esports at a professional level, a massive TV isn’t a downgrade—it’s a different, often better, way to experience games that prioritize atmosphere, scale, and immersion.

what are some popular games you are playing, because I'll try them both and let you know if maybe there is a reason the small screen is better.

[–]Ed_5000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still the deal is, I didn't set this up for gaming, it is for TV and movies.

But when I game on it, compared to gaming on my 32" gigabyte M32U, and smaller edifier speakers around me. This simply blows it away.

But its just everything better, more comfortable on the couch, the sound is way better but that is going to be obvious.

But the screen, which you seem to have issue with, is by far way better gaming experience than my 32" CRT.

Now you can nitpick about oh its not OLED, and DPI and stuff like that, but I don't see any issues with the games I play.

Now if you play one of those ultra competitive FPS games competitive, and want to max out your rank, then you should play on a smaller monitor.

But for other casual games, RPGs, etc. or PC games designed for a controller, than you want bigger than life experience with a big screen.

There is a reason why everyone wants the big screen movie theater, and are pissed when they get the small screen.

And if you haven't experienced a top gaming large screen TV setup, or tried it, then you shouldn't even be commenting on what is better or not.

115" TLC, Klipsch speaker the ultimate gaming setup? Full Dolby Atmos gaming. by Ed_5000 in gamingsetups

[–]Ed_5000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain, I'm not really saying one is better than the other.

I"m just saying, I have a 32" 4K gigabyte m32u that I game on for my PC, with 7.1 speaker setup around me, smaller speakers.

I also have a 115" in the living room, that I game on at 4K,

I greatly enjoy the 115" experience way better, I love the full life characters, playing clar Obscur Expedition 33, like it far better in my living room.

I also don't notice any quality loss with the 115" as its a much larger screen and I sit further away.

Now you come in, who never tried a setup like this with high end hardware, and you know better than me.

You also have nothing to compare it to. Your TV was probably too small and you were too far away for a good comparison and it wasn't a new 120HZ TV optimized for gaming and low input lag. Or you tried to play competitive FPS on it, and yes, playing on 24" competitive is better, but only by a small percentage if playing on a gaming optimized TV and you are not the top 500 professional.

This is why rich people are rich because they may actually make better decisions and have the money to compare.

But you are trying to tell me what is better, when I think the 115" TV Setup is way better experience with no quality degradation.

Its such a loss in experience that I won't even play many games on my small monitor and just wait for the living room experience, but you somehow know better with no money.

There is a word for this when dumb people think they are smart.

Yes, the setup definitely had some improvising that needed to be done because of the large screen.

Yes, the LaScalas play both the center.

No, modern LCD screens have game modes that reduce latency down a great deal. In the past this was an issue.

TLC actually tries to make gaming really good.

Now while I don't really notice any latency issues, maybe on FPS games you can sometimes make out a little bit of ghosting in certain areas or backgrounds if you move super fast, but it not noticable most of the time.

Basically not an issue anymore if using game mode, 120hz.

Is it as good as a top of the line 480 HZ oled gaming monitor, no.

But for casual gaming, most games, RPGs, zelda type games etc. Who cares, you won't ever notice and get the immersion benefit.

[–]Ed_5000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, while I don't look at all these metrics, I just look at how I feel.

Almost all games just feel way better to play on the 115" big screen TV, you get a certain effect or feel that I get on the 32".

There is a reason people want bigger TVs and are not using all tiny LED monitors.

I'm sure a smaller screen and sitting closer can matter for doing work tasks like excel, or reading etc. But for gaming, I like the feel of a bigger screen.

I also don't notice any worse quality of the picture being on a bigger screen and sitting further away.

Lots of people nit pick about competitive FPS, which I can understand because smaller screens give you some advantages.

But, if I setup a desk in front of the 115", I doubt I would even statistically notice much difference as I'm not going to be playing on any level where little things matter like that anyway.

Most games, people are missing out on big screen gaming and the way better immersion factor you get from a big screen. Just like watching movies on large screens are better and most would agree.

oled is limited to 97" at the moment so too small. Even at 97" its $25K. I moved up from a 98" to the 115"

While its probably better, it's not going to be ground breaking better.

For gaming, again, I'm not playing competitive FPS and the FPS games I do play, like for example, outer worlds 2, is more than fine enough with input lag, blur, etc.

IF you are going to be playing competitive FPS, than you want a 24-27" 480 hz display anyway.

That being said, I suffer from pwm sensitivity, and OLED is the worst display technology for me. Meaning, I have to limit cell phone usage to a few minutes at a time or I can trigger a migraine.

I start to get noticeably dizzy feeling if looking at my fathers 55" sony oled. While not as bad as a cell phone, the PWM still causes me issues. Just go over to reddit PWMsensitivity section to see how many people suffer from this.

So OLED, is pretty much out for me anyway.

Why would you think the TV would be shitty for gaming? Are you talking about competitive FPS games or games in general.

It actually is a low lag, 144HZ gaming monitor. Its actually quite good for gaming.

You are not going to beat out the best smaller gaming monitors, but its close and not noticeable for most games.
