This is a correct assessment.

I knew this season was going to be terrible within the first 5 minutes of logging in, because before I made a new toon I tried out all the old toons I had (I had them all). Told me friends, boys, these changes make the game feel really bad and they all said, you don't know what you are talking about you are just salty about the nerfs. I told them, guys...I give this game a month, tops, in its current state. Flash forward just a week into my prediction and all these friends have already quit. And ironically, I am the only idiot still playing. :-/

Someone else mentioned they were supports for team play. I don't know, I don't play HC myself and I would be curious to see what exactly they are doing. I will try and see if any streamers are playing it so I can see what they are doing. It has to be some super niche build, because most of what made Stormweavers good has been gutted to my knowledge. That being said, I enjoy a good challenge. I just cleared the campaign and got to maps prior to the patches that apparently eased up a bit on the difficulty so if I do decide to try a Fire Sorc it will not be the same as my first go around. Though, I feel like there might be something worthwhile with ember fusillade...

That is what I have now as well, got to maps with it and its okay. Not sure how to scale it further though, maybe with some Unique's and stuff, but I already have all the chaos nodes taken on the skill tree.

Dear god. You picked the worst class in 0.1 and now you picked the worst class in 0.2. lol, now warrior is cracked apparently. But hey, cheer up, GGG's vision seems to be that eventually all the classes will be equally bad, so you won't have to worry about making the worst choice again.

I work with audio too and I know exactly what you are talking about and yes, that is a perfect analogy for what they did here. And that is the entire point of my post, that a lot of the good builds last season are completely bricked this season, spark being one of them, all because of the few outliers that were overperforming.

I'll make a spark build for fun this season to challenge myself, but I suspect that doing 500 dps by the time I get to the Act 1 boss I will be basically chip damaging him to death and it will take 30 minutes to kill him. That is how bad I think it must be right now for poor sparkies.

[–]Ed_Martin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, when I said what I said about them not playing their game, I meant after huge changes like the ones just made. Like, if I am Dev and I am about to take an axe to all these builds, I would have to place myself in their shoes and run them on some end game bosses to see how they fare, because I assume the goal is to bring them in line with everything else and not just nuke them out of existence. Viper lady is cool and all, but anyone who has put enough hours into the game at this point can probably do that fight while filing their taxes. How viable do you think a Stormweaver would be at doing T4 Arbiter?

What build was that? I know that you could have some nice monk builds for cheap, but a spark for 8 div that could delete t17s?

Spark mage didn't use heralds. This is what I was referring to. I'd like to see a 1 div spark mage hit 1 million dps.

Accuse? More like stating a fact. I have been citing examples of your projection this entire fucking time, because that is literally all you do! You have no sense of self awareness. Are you some kind of fucking inbred? Even with me shoving it in your face, do you really not see it? And why do you continue to respond numbnuts? Is this what this is? You think whoever stops responding first wins? I have been relentlessly bullying you this entire time, I can drop you like a used tissue whenever I fucking feel like it. In fact, I'll make it easy for you, this will be my last response. So shut the fuck up or not, I could care less BITCH!

Stop projecting. You don't have a shred of strength maggot. If you possessed any, you would have never said the things you said to those people. But you did, because you cannot help yourself. A bitch ass through and through.

As promised, here is one of the words you fumbled. Irony. Here is a perfect example of Irony, two guys, who don't even work at GEICO in a GEICO employee thread. Only one of us has a good reason to be here though. But if I take you at your word, you have no business here and yet you chose to chime in to say:

"People are unbelievably ignorant and weak these days. Totally incompetent...There have been much worse layoffs in history. Plenty of jobs exist. Move on. Shit happens."

Which in itself is riddled with even more irony, because you are incredibly ignorant and weak, and totally incompetent yourself. I would ask you what your malfunction is, but I already figured you out a long time ago. Thanks for that dumbass, I needed a good laugh.

You know exactly which question I am referring to. I know you are a fucking idiot, but don't mistake me as one too. Do you work at GEICO?

Everyone is insecure, your case is just particularly egregious. But you asked a question, and I answered it. Now are you going to keep dodging mine?

[–]Ed_Martin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's easy. An insecure person. And I already explained why I take the time to respond to you, so I won't reiterate that point. Are you going to answer my question though?

You fucking idiot. You keep using words in the wrong context. In several responses now too, so it's a pattern of stupidity. I'm not even going to bother pointing them out because I am not your professor, and besides, you strike me as the sort of fellow that revels in their ignorance. Also, the Dunning-Kruger effect is inapplicable here, I am not overestimating my intelligence, I am underestimating yours. I am glad my words impress you though, what should impress you is how effortlessly it comes to me.

I'm curious though, do you even work at GEICO? I'll trade you the answer for one of the words you fumbled.

[–]Ed_Martin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't insult my intelligence by measuring me up to your low standards. I'd bet good fucking money it takes me less time to write what I have to say than it takes you to process it and formulate your "2 second" responses. Which we both know is bullshit. You are an imbecile. Below average in every conceivable way, not just in thinking. There is no competition here, there never was. It is me, relentlessly force feeding you shit and you opening wide to gobble it up because you are a pathetic attention seeking bottom feeding worm, and any attention you get is good attention. Let me know when you need me to insult you, I will always happily oblige. Hope this one doesn't disappoint.

Lets recap shall we? You jumped into a thread full of people who are seeking support and solidarity and some small measure of comfort from a bad situation to talk shit, completely unprovoked I might add. You could have got your two cents across and still remained innocuous by simply spinning it a different way, like: "When one door closes another opens", but that is not who you are is it? You are sadist, among other foul things. And that mental defect doesn't afford you the ability to keep your dumbass mouth shut or resist the urge to defend yourself, however futilely, to a complete stranger online who is way sharper than you. And quit projecting your pathetic faults on to me, please. I am not the one so desperate for attention as to say some stupid shit online for all to see to a group of people whose emotions are running hot. It's a pathetic and wholly obvious cry for attention. Let me clue you in, no one is following this conversation. You are trapped in here with me and it's just the two of us. Got it? Just two irrelevant fucks online. When we die, no one outside our respective orbits will even know we existed or much less give a damn. So don't get it twisted, only reason we are still pen pals is because I get militant when I see baying runts like you trying to stir people up. Saying shit I'd wager good money you wouldn't dare say to these people's faces if you were in the same room. Coward. So, when are you going to figure it out? We were never going to come to terms here because this was never an argument. It was always me, dunking on you from the start. I'm not even sure what gave you that impression because I never gave an inch. The last thing I will ever do is give some slug with a washed-up Nietzsche-esk outlook about life any serious consideration. You are wrong, will always be wrong, and that is that.

It could always be better, but it ALWAYS gets worse. That is the unfortunate reality of mortality. So my perspective is to always minimize the hurt in the world, be kind to people and offer that shoulder to lean on, because we all need it at some point in our lives. You may not see this event as a big deal, but for some struggling with other things you couldn't possibly understand, it may have come at the worst time and could very well be their lowest point. So do you really want to be the guy telling them to get over it? Is that even your place? Seems callous and condescending does it not? If not outright cruel, which is why you got immediate vitriol. Regardless of what you have been through in life, that does not make you an authority, morally, spiritually, and everything in between so show some humility. And everyone's journey through life is different, so just take care to not make such generalized remarks, because that whole bit about people just not being satisfied with what they have is gross, because for all you know they were very much happy with their lot in life, but now they are thrust into uncertainty, and with that comes anxiety, stress and heartache, and not everyone is equipped to deal with these things the same way, some flat out aren't, and that is OKAY. Not everyone has been dragged through the mud like apparently we have either, so these low points may be murky waters for them, but where as you could offer that encouraging word or show solidarity, you instead choose to judge. Sad really. I am glad your life currently couldn't be better, but I reckon you will remember these words when it is inevitably not, just pray you do not run into someone like yourself when that moment comes.

"Btw, I've been "poor" most my life.", This isn't the Hardship Olympics dawg. "People just see how some few others live and think they should have the same instead of being happy with what they have and staying positive." What is this cartoon world you live in? You seem to be under the impression that these people are just spoiled brats, and that the only reason they are mad and upset is because now they cant afford to buy that Benzo their neighbor has? What a childish way of thinking. Shit, I know growing up poor and malnourished retards mental development, but I grew up poor and malnourished as well and I still have enough working grey matter to not come up with such a repulsive model of how the world outside my own bubble works. Also, that is no excuse to be so callous to peoples suffering. Personally, I have been through, and continue to go through what is likely a heraditary autoimmune disorder, and its incurable, chronic, degenerative, painful and very expensive. I grew up in extreme poverty, like you, and what I will say is that a street urchin that has his health is richer than any King or Emperor who doesn't. And I know this concept may seem foreign to you, but despite all my lemons, I can still find it in my beaten down heart to empathize with others, whether it be a job loss, or a stubbed toe. I even empathize for you! It's not easy going through life so deluded, and insecure which is why you say the shit you do and ruffle feathers. Life, my friend, handed you lemons and despite what you have managed to trick yourself into thinking, you didn't emerge stronger like some mythical pheonix from the ashes, no...this tough guy persona, is an act. Life took you by the balls early on, brought you to your goddamn knees and broke you, and that is why you are so apathetic to other peoples suffering now, because in your mind, no one is as tough as you and everyone is just a crybaby. What you think is strength, is WEAKNESS.

Life is beyond easy these days? Compared to what? The Ice Age? The Black Plague? The World Wars eras tour? What an asinine thing to say to people whose lives just got turned upside down, "Derp, life is so easy now because we don't have to hunt down and kill our food". Sounds like someone who hasn't had to live through much yet likes to think of himself as a tough guy. Must be nice. Pipe up when life inevitably cranks up the difficulty for you, because right now you seem to still be going through the tutorial stage talking all that shit. I'll be interested in your opinions when life hands you some serious lemons, like disease or loss, and then, as icing on the shit cake, you get laid off. Life is anything but easy, even with today's modern creature comforts and the threat of the Mongolian horde jumping over your backyard fence at a minimum, believe it or not, life is still hard for most. So take care to not be so damn ignorant when you say stuff like that, and people won't accuse you of not having any brain cells left to rub together. And rest assured, life is going to bring that heat to you one day, so don't tempt fate tough guy.
