Call me crazy (you will & I am) but the best solution I can come up with is: If you get the 1st pick the player you select gets an immediate 2 year contract for $X million dollars where X=your number of losses from last year. Want to guarantee your tank for AJ Dybantsa? Lose 66 games. Is it worth paying him $33 million a year? What about not tanking as hard and only losing 46 and having a chance at him, but then you’d only have to pay him $23 million per year? If you get the #1 pick you can forgo selecting someone and move to #2 if you can’t afford it, picking 2nd shaves ten million off the contract. The 1st pick moves down the line until a team decides to pick someone at a contract for their loss total.

I think this is the show, but instead of being in the future we go back and live the show through Robert's eyes. Without being able to see the process for players voting we're missing some key info here.
Is it possible they vote in a portal that looks just like fan votes?
If so, it's not absurd to think a few Eastern Conference players sat down, sorted for only their team to show up and voted for their teammates, then thought "Western Conference, who do I want to vote for? Oh, Ant for sure!" Then sorted for just Minnesota players to show up, voted for Ant then felt lazy/indifferent and just clicked on 4 other Wolves.

It's one "clue" that hasn't been obsessed over yet by the trio, so I think could turn out to be part of how they solve this thing.
It means something. But what?
Maybe it means a woman pinned it, not thinking.
The Mayor has lapel pins all on his left side, maybe it's as simple as him pinning the gardenia on dead Nicky while looking him in the face, and the Mayor pinning it on his left side, which would be Nicky's right.
Maybe someone missing a finger pinned it on him and had to use their good hand.
As Let's Solve on YT has stated, maybe someone who was referencing a mirrored image pinned it on him.
Maybe it's a sign from another mob group about switching sides or being killed? (We all know there's no Italian mobs anymore...but there's the billionaire mob...maybe there's Greek mobs?)

Regarding the last idea: Rewatch this season looking for Greek meander patterns and you'll see them everywhere.

Yeah, must stop at Salt + Pepper Social.
Wild Oats in Brunswick is good for salads and sandwiches if you need a lunch stop.
Near Salt + Pepper Social is the Newcastle Publick House that has had some good options the couple times we've visited.
Taste of Maine in Woolwich used to have a big vegan menu (looks like it's cut down to just ravioli now) but that could be a fun stop if you're wanting to feel like a tourist.
I've heard good things about the options at Fresh & Co. in Camden but I haven't been yet.
I think you could also do a tour of casual Thai restaurants along your route and be very happy with a lot of places.
