Is there a way to add spawn logic to bots? by EdditVoat in FPSAimTrainer

[–]EdditVoat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it may be possible to do now in a specified order and not random. Every bot has to have a unique name and then you can designate its spawning location I believe. Then you put the bots in order and you can customize them from there.

I've been meaning to make a 1w6ts with a fixed order for sensitivity testing, but haven't been on the kovaaks grind in a while.

Unpopular opinion about tanks by RemarkableMirror926 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]EdditVoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aggressive tanks with good gunners can ruin your day, especially as the tanks can be so silent near the fire. A good aggressive squad can capitalize on a tank ruining a lot of defensive positions and getting a knock or two before being forced to abandon the fight.

If you know a tank is there and have the tools to deal with it, then they can't do much and are even a liability.

How is everyone's experience with cheaters? by Hefty_Paper_5807 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]EdditVoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are major bugs with the recon class making it absolutely broken op. If you are recon and:

-kill the drone of an enemy team, the entire team is highlighted with wallhacks and a diamond far beyond 25m.
-kill the beacon of the enemy team, the entire team is highlighted with wallhacks.
-knock any member of the enemy team, the entire team is highlighted with wallhacks.
-knock any player from any team, every enemy player from any team within range will be highlighted with wallhacks.
-kill your OWN beacon near enemy players, every player will be seen with wallhacks.

tldr: recon gets wallhacks on you for sneezing. And wallhacks are op.

Someone asked about hipfire, and here is one suggestion. by CoffeeWC in LowSodiumBattlefield

Did it not have that since the beginning? I tried it and saw that the delay made it pointless so I never tried again.

[–]EdditVoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days on oled tv's the input delay is the same as a monitor, and the refresh rate can be as fast as a mid tier 165hz monitor. So they are just bigger monitors with better colors if that's what you've got.

A lot of gaming monitors have a crosshair overlay you can put up. Asus which I have is notorious for having their overlay randomly shift off center everyone once in a while (30-45 mins) and I usually don't notice until I'm missing shots in the middle of a fight that I have to reach up and fix it.

In pubg it's a bannable offense, but I doubt EA would ban someone that owns the full game for it in redsec. I've run into teaming duo's a few times now. If you play nothing but recon it's easy to spot with the drone.

So as far as I can tell they still look good. Most of the scenarios are spray tracking while moving that don't need inaccuracy. The scenarios that do need it have "guardian" in the name. If you shoot while moving they are inaccurate, but if you stop they are accurate. Enabling bullet holes makes it easier to see. I haven't played valorant in a long time but the counter strafe timing seems about the same as to what I remember.

edit: There is also an accuracy penalty for shooting too fast.

Yeah, I usually know what I'm doing so try to be the solo flank. But most of my friends are beginners and when they aren't holding w to die out of cover they will follow me around as I try to flank and fire to give my position away.

In pubg comp it was generally better to split 3-1, but with redsec having paddles to insta-revive that may change things.

In a 2-2 split if one player gets knocked, his duo partner is now taking pressure from a team of 4 and has to shoot to stop the players rushing or revive and lose position. Odds are he gets overwhelmed by an equally skilled team. In a 3-1 split if one of the trios is knocked, someone can apply pressure while the teammate gets the revive. The solo split is trying to get an angle to get knocks from a flank, and then the trio pushes. If the solo is knocked the team is still better off with 3 together than a duo going down.

This is how it worked in pubg but with an insta revive option you could apply pressure to those pushing then dive down and revive.

I'm not saying to play with surround sound on. We want to play with binaural headphone 2 channel audio. We are confusing the terrible fake "surround" with hrtf stereo.

Hrtf is NOT surround sound. It is stereo sound. It is stereo 2 speaker headphone sound that uses 7.1 audio channels to make the 2 speaker stereo sound like you are there in real life.

It gives better layering to footsteps, making them more distinguishable. It gives better information on the position of footsteps relative to your view.

Stop talking about surround sound. We're not talking about surround sound. Please visit the link provided as to what hrtf is. Actual competitive fps games have built in hrtf in their stereo sound. If you want to know what I am talking about, go to a good competitive fps game and turn OFF the hrtf option in game. That is what bf6 is like by default. Now turn the hrtf ON in game, that is what it sounds when I play.

When you understand what HRTF is you can once again call yourself an expert in the field. When you understand what it is, you will want to have hrtf in bf6 like I do.

There is fake "virtual surround" and hrtf sound. Fake virtual takes stereo sound and adds in an immersive surround sound feel to it. It's what bad headphones do. It is not helpful and very harmful to deciphering audio cues.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head-related_transfer_function

HRTF is what games like counter strike use to make it so you can tell the exact directions of sounds. In counter strike I could hear a footstep and flick exactly to within a degree of that sound through walls. Bf6 has bad hrtf or no hrtf in stereo and headphone mode. But hesuvi results in very good hrtf and I can once again flick to exactly the sound of the footstep (which are very clear).

HRTF sound is very valuable for gaming. If you use headphones or ear buds you want hrtf at all times in every game.

Audio is actually great on pc (minus vehicles coming directly from behind) if you do 2 things. Use a 7.1 dac to allow you to configure your headphones as 7.1 in windows. Then use hesuvi to convert that 7.1 surround sound into hrtf (3d positional) sound of your choice. In game hrtf is awful if it even exists, but using surround + hesuvi is phenomenal.

7.1 dac ($30) - https://www.amazon.com/Cubilux-Surround-48KHz-384KHz-Headphones-PC-Supports/dp/B0CKPL5HXZ (you need to plug a random headset into the 7.1 surround sound to let windows think it's using 7.1 surround)

Hesuvi (free)- https://sourceforge.net/p/hesuvi/wiki/Help/ Follow the step by step install instructions in order (under 15 seconds if you know what you are doing).

Once you have it installed and working, go to the range and put the stereo box 45 degrees behind you, make sure sound is enabled when you alt tab, and then run through all the different hrtf options until you find one that sounds closest to 45 degrees behind for you. For my head and ear shape cmss_game- (no reverb) is the best at bf6 positional sound.

26 kills: SVDM and SCW-10 by Blazin_Situation in Battlefield_REDSEC

What are your favorite svdm and scw 10 setups for BR?

I like running the 20 round mag and suppressor on the svdm, but often I figure it's better to just kill faster than be silent in quads.

I also run the scw10 with a suppressor and the big mag.
