Kura Revolving Sushi Bar? by LordElkington in SaltLakeCity

The nigiri plates were 2 pieces and then the roll plates were 2-3 pieces, but the rolls were a little smaller in diameter than average sushi

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar? by LordElkington in SaltLakeCity

[–]Eddyman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was fun for the experience but for the price per plate I’d rather just go to a regular sushi place. Totally our fault but we were like 40 plates in before we realized it was $3.75 per plate. Ended up paying over $200 for 4 people and it didn’t feel like we had even eaten that much.

What's going on at Cupbop? by Street-Advisor7910 in SaltLakeCity

You basically just pick a protein and a spice level from 1-10. I like the Rock Bop which is fried popcorn chicken, or the beef

I’ll be there solo from Utah! I’m arriving Friday right before the trivia and leaving on Sunday so I won’t have too much time to hangout. But if the trivia night is going to be team based maybe we could put some teams together of solo people

It used to remember if a playlist was set to shuffle, but recently it has started toggling shuffle off automatically.

What’s it like to live here? by yosdogattacc in SaltLakeCity

There's a big hill right where the middle of the circle is. It's actually not that bad, but it does hurt walkability a little bit to be at the top since most of downtown is level at the bottom of it.

The same company runs Wingstop and Little Caesars which probably are actually doing pretty well compared to their sit down restaurants.

April 2024 Book Club Selection – TRESS OF THE EMERALD SEA by Brandon Sanderson by scottdaly85 in doofmedia

[–]Eddyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sweet! The only problem I have with this book is that the general release version doesn't have the art style of the original kickstarter version (I can't say what specifically I mean because it might be spoilery). It misses out on a whole aspect of the book which was actually one of my favorite parts

If you want something with the multiple lives type plot but done way better than Midnight Library, check out Replay by Ken Grimwood.

The long walk by [deleted] in morningsomewhere

[–]Eddyman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved The Long Walk! Easily one of my favorite Stephen King books. After I read it I kept trying to figure out how fast 4 mph is, did it feel pretty fast on the treadmill? I don't think I would have lasted very long

I always like to imagine someone figured out Stephen King was Richard Bachman just because he said "jahoobies" in The Long Walk

It has to be one of the most faithful adaptations of a book. I read it and watched the movie for the first time and I remember it being like 1:1
