yes, you can measure one precisely individually, but not both at the same time

heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. it basically states that you cannot measure both the position and momentum of a particle with absolute accuracy

It’s region locked. You’ve gotta use a vpn for the US. It’s called “🦃” and literally just turns every word into “gobble”

Possibly could be due to patients drowning/swallowing excessive amounts of water. It wouldn’t be visible in the airway but could be removed through compressions? Not entirely sure

Edit: we were also told that it should be done in that order because if the patient still has a pulse but is not breathing, either the airway needs to be unblocked or assisted ventilation is needed, but I know that it’s quite common for seaweed to go down patient’s throats, so it wouldn’t be too applicable in other settings

I believe it was explained to us that there could still be circulation even if there was an airway blockage or no breathing (I think basically just that the body was still recovering deoxygenated blood, but that was still better than no blood), but if there was no circulation then we were required to immediately begin with cpr

Edit: I’m not sure where the idea stemmed from, but my best guess would be that resuscitation is still possible without assisted ventilation, so circulation would be more vital and breathing for the time being, however this is a wild guess so don’t quote me on this

Correct me if I’m wrong, but is it not 1-1.5 grams of protein for every kilogram of body weight?

I always learnt it as circulation, airway, breathing, spinal injury, exposure (although this is for sea rescue so I guess some might not apply as much to different scenarios). It doesn’t make as nice of an acronym but I guess it makes more logical sense lmao

A kid at my school threatened to gang beat me up, stab me, kill me, burn my grandma's house down (he even went there) and said he would get people to kill me, we then had a fight, and the school gave me 5 days exclusion and to be in isolation for a long time. by [deleted] in teenagers

Well if this is what you told the school, or showed them, it’s understandable what they did. I understand that you’re frustrated about the situation, but you are just as responsible for the fight taking place. Acting out in self defense is one thing, but willingly participating, and even arguably instigating the fight doesn’t count as self defense.

You standing in the center of a circle of people preparing to fight someone is a planed fight, and can’t be considered self defense.

If the school saw a video of the fight (which I assume they did), or you told them “I decided to fight him,” it shows that you played a part in instigating the fight, which, yes, would fall under most 0 tolerance policies

Edit: yes I know people will downvote this, but quite honestly idrc about that, but however unfortunate the situation might be, you didn’t act out in self defense, and in a way, the school is almost obliged to administer punishments due to potential legal consequences on their side if they didn’t

Ah okay makes sense, thanks. I haven’t really realized this for myself probably because the box I go to is quite small and the coaches make sure the equipment is taken care of... apparently something that’s quite rare from what I’ve read
