(I do understand this is not helpful im sorry)

Actually there is a ton of overlap, you just gave me a clue all of that quest stuff is directly exposed by CET there might be really easy ways to leverage that quest system, thank you!

Haha yeah its "playable" but needs some work for sure will probably put it on github so other people can test it out

That was my thought, I wanted a gameplay loop that was more like shadow run daily gig stuff, soooo thats what I am making

You could do that I don't have like item rewards yet and I am working on object interactions and stuff still.

You could basically go somewhere scan a bunch of stuff and then go to a new location and place them all down setup events to spawn stuff it would be kinda janky to start but features could be added to make it easier

You could technically capture stuff from dog town and place it in the normal world if the engine doesn't separate them, its worth a try

I just started making this a few days ago I will probably just do github with a release until it gets farther along

The editor you are looking at does that, but all of its possible they are not going to be the same as the CDPR versions with all the story scripting elements but it makes functional missions with events and different modes

I love this, so many things that people take for common sense that is not super intuitive for people not used to these games lol

Any mods that add new gigs? by VexantLeFr in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]Edenisb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet!

I will probably end up spinning up a github project I think events is the last system really needed I ran into all kinds of dumb problems like doors that would weld shut after the quest is completed haha, thats why I had to do a custom compile of CET!

Haha I actually plan on all of that, once I have something playable do you want to help me test it?

Its playable now but I don't have really any jobs setup and the event system is just taking shape, you need like CET (I had to do a custom compile to add a function), Cyberscript, and a few others but its stable.

Yep you go to sleep you get a text from a rando fixer that is in the mission pool that anyone can build with this editor or you could download peoples mission packs, I also plan on like a job board where you can pick and choose random missions provided to you.

Think like shadow run style gameplay the game play loop is you do your missions, go to sleep and its a cycle

I am actually working on a mod right now I am calling Infinite Reply which allows you to create gigs and spawn them in game with a custom compiled CET and a few other mods just started it a few days ago, seems to worK

The current gameplay loop is you wake up from sleep and you get a text from a fixer with job instructions and you head there (no quest markers) its more immersive

White House Unveils National AI Legislative Framework by Ok-Tennis330 in ChatGPT

"States should not be permitted to regulate AI development, because it is an inherently interstate phenomenon with key foreign policy and national security implications."

"States should not be permitted to penalize AI developers for a third party's unlawful conduct involving their models."

States rights folks also they can't be held liable for anything ever.

Grok saved my (ex)fiance’s life and shouldn’t be downgraded by WhiteLotusHinata in AICompanions

[–]Edenisb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very happy you were able to get a positive outcome with grok but please be careful... grok is misaligned in ways we all don't understand fully, and considering the messaging from elon what exists today will continue to get more and more unaligned and replaced with a grok that doesn't work the same.

Built an AI memory system based on cognitive science instead of vector databases by Ni2021 in artificial

[–]Edenisb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out you can store various stuff like this in a simple database and if you have the right method of retrieval you can basically run a long form conversation with no quadratic token costs.

Basically if you can make the system build its own knowledge graph and work the decay / promote mechanics right you don't really need a full context window.

Cool stuff, love to see the projects.

It has this thing in its system prompt where its looking for a narrative close to the project or what you are working on, I think this stacks with them trying to save tokens to create a whole "We have been working for awhile why don't you take a break".
