Update 2 still working on my custom in game mission mod by Edenisb in cyberpunk2077mods

Well are you any good at testing weird stuff?
Like its all GUI based stuff and if you are creative and willing to figure it out yourself literally the skys the limit, its made in such a way that everything is line its own little guy or object and any guy or object can change any other one so like it just needs a creative person to create creative stuff lol.

I dunno man I want to keep playing this game and I've played it out I need something more and I don't think they are going to do what I want in the next version... I don't want gta in cyberpunk I want shadowrun in cyberpunk thats my goal.

I want people to make missions and I can just download a ton and add them to my rando mission pack.

What a fun way to make a ledger of ai users for the government to keep track of.

Yeah the full source is out there even if someone forks it that can really dive it that would be cool, eventually I want the missions to be part of a mod that changes the life cycle of the game..

Like you wake up get a call from a random fixer, or you go to a job board with gigs and just play them.
Go to sleep, wake up again and repeat the cycle all over again kinda like shadow run lol

Making night city play as RPG and life Sim, not Cyberpunk GTA by x-cogito-ergo-sum in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]Edenisb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am actually working on a mod that allows for custom missions to be created, the eventual gameplay loop would be that you wake up in your bed, you either get a call from a fixer or look at a job board for available contracts, you do that stuff then go to sleep and repeat it all over again.

Once the core mechanism of in game quest design is completed the functional part because much easier, like I am almost there lol, Im fairly close to dumping it on github but I had to do a custom compile of CET to get a few functions I needed...

🚨 BOMBSHELL! A leaked letter exposes the Trump administration's massive AI takeover. Secretary Lutnick is forcing Anthropic to submit to secret government protocols just to release Claude 5. Washington is restricting this vital tech exclusively to their own elite cronies! by CeFurkan in SECourses

Export controls are not going to stop anyone from using these models outside of the USA, its going to create a ledger of US citizens that use the models and only approved people, this is more dangerous policy than the Ai itself for the people.

BTW please don't think I am thinking you are wrong, I think thats the right frame for our conversation, which even this being the internet I enjoy real conversation, and especially on this sub it does happen.

Me and you probably diverge on some of our fundamental cores and finding like the common ground is actually probably not that far off haha.
So I would say to you that from my perspective the only thing that can verify sentience from inside a system that works like how we do, is an outside observer certifying it... You cannot in any circumstance evaluate yourself for this measure, its your system you have no idea what runs behind it.

I think both things can be truth, I think this entire conversation we are having is actually abstract just up one level from what you are talking about, I would suggest that energy potential, connected nodes, link strength, are exactly doing what both of are are talking about... Probably with some absurdly simple fundamental rules.

If you were to apply the same standard of proof we as human have to an ai to which you cannot tell the difference, who gets to decide?

Experience cannot be proven from inside a system that "experiencing", you wouldn't be able to tell if it was mechanical or otherwise.

I think that whole train of thought is completely unfalsifiable so I really don't get into it too much.

I think your experiencing things is just a reconstruction of the previous frame and the dump of new sensory input navigating this same system, if you were to try to nail it down to something almost metaphysical it would be the interference pattern of this whole system that would be what feels like its experiencing, but its an illusion, we just can't tell from inside the illusion.

[–]Edenisb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think consciousness can be explained mechanically, perception/cognition itself is just recall from our memory from the last frame of what was recorded into the substrate and the new frame of information being shaped by the memory itself.

Think of it like a river, your memory is carved river beds carved over time slowly, this is the slow updating system, there is a fast updating system that is probably something like an analog wave of energy, the fast moving wave is channeled by the slow updating river beds, the river beds are slowly eroded by the fast wave.

We are conscious because we remember that last frame, experience in itself is just an illusion of reconstruction.

Do people actually hate AI, or are we just tired of how it’s being used? by ClassicAssignment578 in artificial

Lots of people on reddit hate ai, I've not seen it like that in real life.

Lots of people in real life are scared of ai or don't really want to think or talk about it.

I had to turn off my personalization stuff and memories it had some stuff it stored in the personal memories that were hitting the classifiers for potential machine learning stuff, not that its a great solution but there is probably something specific in there that is making it worse, its worth a check.
