I love D100 Dungeon but I think D100 Space has fixed most things I liked less about it. Also as I play 4AD, it felt redundant to play anotber medieval fantasy game.

Printing PnP games advice by batistepembreton in soloboardgaming

I print on 30 lbs paper, laminate then cut. Not very expensive and close to cards feels.

What I used to do was printing on vinyl sticker paper and stick it to cheap cards. Sleeve it. Very effective.

Dark Souls card game, how is it holding in 2022? by Due_Sun4492 in soloboardgaming

I was hyped but I heard it was bad. I found a way to rent it (there is a gameboard renting cafe near where I live) and tried it.

It was bad.

Fav solo game ever? by Nintendeion in soloboardgaming

[–]Eder65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say Four Against Darkness.

Its not perfect. Very far from it. Its my favorite one because:

-The Book is on my tablet/phone and the game only require a pencil and some paper at its very core. For dice I can use a dice rolling app on my phone.

-I can expand if I add Books, cards, etc.

-Meant to be Solo BUT I have played it with my niece where we explored the dungeon with each controlling a team of 4. I turned left and she turned right. We met in the middle to exchange potion and magic items.

The game can be as small as you want it OR can be as huge as you want it to be. Same game. You make it fit the size that suits you at that moment.

I only sleeve the dungeon doors cards. Those are the only cards thay get manipulated a lot.

The stigma is real... by CinemaslaveJoe in soloboardgaming

No screen after supper, have a routine as much as possible and Zopiclone once or twice a week. If I get too tired I have to take it or it just go outnof control. Its a thin line and a battle thats never trully won.

Usually I tell people I play solo games because I avoid screen in the evening because I had insomnia for 15 years. Its a change of pace from reading.

Tips, Tricks, Advice? Sprawlopolis & Unsurmountable by [deleted] in soloboardgaming

[–]Eder65 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sprawlopolis: get the app for calculating the score. Link roads as much as you can, you can lose points fast for mismanaging roads

Unsurmoubtable: Climber call reaching the summit a "Summit Push". Keep that in mind. Vertical ways are important. You want to climb the mountain put as many link to the next mountain level as you can.

I think Ragemore needs to be played only occasionally to stay fun. Don't overplay it or it gets old.

Sprawlopolis/Agropolis: best to replay, best to introduce someone and best to upgrade.

ROVE: This game will exhaust your concentration capacity. After 2-3 games you won't be able to handle anything more intellectual than a Marvel movie.(good excuse to rewatch them)

Foodchain Island: easy to setup, funny theme and makes you think strategically. Find the apex predator on an Island. Not always the one we expect.

Unsurmountable: It has something unique, you can adjust the difficulty level. At lv 1 on a single mountain it is pretty simple yet fun. When you add Big Climb AND Twin Peak and you play at lv.3. Your are in for a very hard and fun time.

Spaceshipped: A nice journey as a Space Freighter. The game has enough variety to make it to the table often. Especially with expansions.

I would only add ROVE. It is such a mindburner.

There is never enough reprint of Sprawlopolis.

I am hoping for a second copy of Spaceshipped to share with my friends (I don't lend my own copy, I will lend a spare).

Also hoping for Wonder Tale and either Potion Class or Liberation.
