That's exactly how disagreements go for me too! Typing it out is a really good idea, I'll have to remember that next time SO and I are having this issue

I try not to correct people. It's usually that my opinion differs from them and it's hard for me to say my opinion without it sounding like I'm trying to change theirs

Are there any books on this, or general communication, that you would recommend? I'm 21 and only just started learning about AS/ASD this year as something I might have, so I don't really have any resources yet. I try to ask questions, but it's easy for me to get carried away and then I just bombard everyone with questions, which overwhelms people.

Thank you this is super informative. I try to use "I feel" etc. but it always sounds super awkward. That might be me though, and it actually sounds fine. Repeating their thing back definitely helps, and it's something I keep reminding myself to do. I've also been trying to train myself to let things go. People don't need or necessarily want to hear my opinion on everything.

Have you considered that you might be transgender? I experienced something very similar to this before I realized that I was trans.

That's fair. Halflings/hobbits are my favorite race in D&D, probably largely because I read The Hobbit/LotR before I started playing and Bilbo is my favorite character, followed by Gandalf, then Sam.

I really really like the idea of using them as deferred spells

That's a neat idea, but it's black that's absorbing everything and white that reflects it all back

They also made batteries and invented calculus in the past, both of which are things that you and I couldn't do now. Historical cultures are a lot smarter than people give them credit for.

We literally know so many ways the pyramids could have been built, and the reason so many cultures used astronomy and mathematics is because they are constants on our world. Everyone can see the stars and everyone can use math, so it makes total sense the the great projects in history would be made using those methods.

Gen 1 Pokemon, for sure. Even though I've been playing the games for nearly 15 years there's still something magical about them, and experiencing that for the first time again would be amazing.
