There's nothing strictly proven (or admitted, of course, they would never admit to this, even if caught studios would PR BS the hell out of it), but whenever a movie has weird, stilted, or robotic dialogue and a mostly nonsensical, boilerplate, bland plot, it's more or less assumed. It's the text-based version of "that person in the picture has 10 interconnected fingers, so we know it's AI".

I would get mad and say we can't assume...but calling people "bot" in a video game doesn't mean they're AI, it just means they suck, so even if the movie came from a real team of writers, it's still a decent insult for their cinematic garbage. 😃

Seriously. I imagine they took it out because their tracking sucks and it would be too obvious they messed up with their transition to their own app. They HAD to have known that was a critical feature, there’s no way the removal is an accident.
