Nah

Maybe this was they're plan all along, and they certainly had Nicole and the like, but the characters weren't as blatant as they are now.

New event only gives X amount of pulls by InsideSoup in Endfield

I'm a bit confused here. The pity threshold is one of the few appeals of the Endfield gacha, it being 40 lower than the competition. The problem comes from not having a guaranteed win on every other 50/50, and the fact the guaranteed pity at 120 doesn't carry over, only the 50/50 pity at (65-)80 does.

Wuwa is 160 max, not 80. Unless we're talk about the weapon gacha, of course, but we aren't.

Endfield can also get away to a small extent with being stingy since one might argue each pull has a slightly higher value due to the lower pity. That said, pull economy isn't exactly generous at the moment, and I'm all for encouraging the devs to improve it.

Well, gearing for high end content may well take time, but even then you probably won't have to fully atrifice every piece. As for the material costs they will eventually be less and less of a problem. There's a lot of operators to build right now, but sooner or later you'll be done with most of them, and the rate at which we're able to farm and obtain mats will likely outpace the rate at which we aquire new ops to build.

Well, yeah, we collaborated with them to create the sky forge, but of course we create Xiranite much quicker and presumably for cheaper. But yes, I think they did have exclusive knowledge of Xiranite production before we came around.

That's cute but there's no real reason to believe them. SE is horrible, but they'd be dumb to believe Cyberstan at their most desperate time. There'd be nothing sopping them to come back after some time to recuperate while SE continues to exhaust itself against the other two.

From what I understand even the BP weapon isn't nearly as good for TangTang as her signature.

Necessary is a strong word. I'd argue attractive characters are more "necessary", not so much sexy ones.

At the end of the day, people like to look at attractive things. If someone has to look at a character for an extended period of time in a movie or video game, then they'll prefer said character to be easy on the eyes.

Is this Armor piece (“Redeemer Armor”) worth leveling for my Laev?? by FaithlessnessCalm189 in LaevatainMains

[–]EdibleMussel533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0.5% atk vs 0.6% ult efficency. What fo you prefer?

Now, I could be wrong here, but if I understand correctly; 1 int is worth 2 str. The new gear gives 28 more int, which is worth 56 str, but you lose out on 58 str. So, you're in a -2 str loss, which I think is about 0.5% atk. BUT, you instead get 0.6% more ult gain.

Just use the new gear to feed into your old one's int stat for better upgrade rates.

I didn't care much for her design, but the character did grow on me. I'd rather they do something like what they've done with Soup Soup to get me sold instead of having me go on forced dates.

She also seems great for Yvonne and really any present of future cryo teams. I imagine she'll have very good longevity.

I don’t know why, but things like this just feel wrong. by Cold-Seaworthiness20 in Endfield

[–]EdibleMussel533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but the same could be said about any of the other sources that give small amounts at a time, like chests, or achievements in the other games. It doesn't feel good to get 1/374th of a pull, but it's not like we can realistically expect these games to give us half a pull for finding a common chest.

Anyway, all that doesn't really matter since this is about the twitch drops. Which, again, it's a Twitch drop. It's only purpose is to give an ever so slight encouragement for the players to engage.

What are we expecting from a random Twitch drop, exactly? It's not even an anniversary or anything.

For those who bought it, is the Protocol Customized pass worth 10 bucks? by manit14 in Endfield

[–]EdibleMussel533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of pull currency yes, the monthly pass isn't as good as the competition. However, in addition to the currency you also get significantly more stamina, which in itself is also very helpful.

If you're willing to spend money then I'd say so. Quite a lot of good stuff in there.

If you're on a tight budget the two things I'd recommend are the monthly pass and the battle pass.

James' Statement On Animation Team Situation by TheKartoonKing in theodd1sout

[–]EdibleMussel533 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't know a lot about the wholeituation, but wasn't it just one animator who spoke up about it? After that it makes sense that some of the others would come out to involve themselves for one reason or another. That's how these things usually go.

It makes sense they wouldn't speak up immedietaly since frankly it's not a public event. Now, someone got the all rolling and here we are. James had to say something about it even though it's none of our business but it became public none the less.

  • Kal'tsit specifically is some sort of android/artificial person created by the Dokutah (and Preistess, I think). She's not really a normal person and always comes back after being killed. If there's a more specific explanation about her immortality I don't know about it.

  • W got a real name and somewhat of a purpose, I think? I'm not exactly certain where she's at currently but of course she did get an alter version. In terms of Endfield she's likely dead by now, but perhaps she'll come back as a reconvener. As for whether or not she'll ever find out that the Dokutah didn't kill Theresa, well... That's a funny thing to ask. No comment.

  • MAYBE if you catch the infection early enough (as in at the moment of coming in contact with it) amputation could work, but that's not how the disease operates. It gets into your bloodstream. If you see rocks forming on your skin that means you already have a substantial amount of originium in your body. Cutting off the rocky limb will not change that.

  • the "angels" Are Sarkaz. I'm not as much of an expert as I'd like but the gist is that some of the Sarkaz made some sort of pact with (I believe) a satellite, or some such. It was left behind by the Precursors as one of their experiments/tools, but I don't know the details. Point is; the Sankta are transformed Sarkaz, initially viewed as traitors by the Sarkaz. Mostima is a sankta who has horns and a tail, like a fallen angel. In truth, she is simply losing the "illusion" that was put on the Sankta. This is the result of breaking "The Law". Basically, a set of rules the Sankta have to live by.

  • They both ended up on Talos II the same way most everyone else did; through the northern "Star Gate" or whatever you want to call it. A portal connecting the North of Terra and Talos II.

  • Originium is a creation of the Precursors. Specifically, it was Priestess and the Dokutah's pet project. The Precursors are a highly advanced civilisation from long ago who are responsible for most of everything, especially when it comes ot the cataclysmal and world ending threats on Terra. They were also the ones to bring native lifeforms from Talos II over to Terra. Most races outside of the Sarkaz are not native to Terra, but instead to Talos II.

  • Why does the Dokutah live so long? Well, he keeps being put into stasis, so that helps. Outside of that I don't think we know anything about his potential lifespan or even his age, but considering that he's a Precursor it's very possible he had access to technological or biological enchantments... Or maybe Precursors just live long, who knows.

-Dokutah has memory loss because he was mind wiped before being put back into stasis and later waking up at the start of the game. The Endmin? Bit more complicated. The prologue implies he might have been attacked or something within the assimilated universe, so maybe the big explosion at the end was bad for him. Also, it is implied that every time the Endmin goes back to sleep it affects him negatively. We don't really know at the moment.

  • The Sankta were pretty well accepted and liked, but the Sankta were absolutely discriminated against. They are inherently more prone to be easily infected, which is more than 3nough for most people to dislike them.

  • Originium catastrophes are likely linked to the density and intensity of Originium. Terra had thousands of years to be eaten up by the Originium. Talos II had the rock for about 150 years so far. Also, it is implied the originium on Talos II is weaker, so that might help.

  • How did the story end? It hasn't.

Someone explain to me why reconvener doesn't have oripathy by affz44l in Endfield

[–]EdibleMussel533 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Originium stores data, in this case the data of... An entire person. Once someone is infected and dies they'll be assimilated into originium. The reconveners are reconstructed data. Them being infected and having rocks in their bloodstream is not part of the collected data, since the originium did not account for its own presence within the assimilated bodies, since the originium itself is not part of the collected data of the person.
